ouch!

I know those labels are there for precisely that reason... check your insurance clauses on water damage just in case.

Hope the phone corrects itself soon. I have a friend whose old Razr went into the toilet and had the same damage but started working after a couple of days.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Unplug the battery and put the phone somewhere to dry out.

Believe it or not - they put those phones through pretty rigorous destruction testing.

I've known a lot of people who've accidentally dropped their phones into baths, sinks, toilets, pints of beer. They all worked again after they dried out.

I have dumped a whole glass of iced tea into my laptop, and also dropped my razr and ipod into the cat water dish.

Most imperative is to dry the thing out. Electronics can take exposure to water, but if powered back on while wet it can fry your electronics. So leave it for a few days. Make sure it is completely dry - and then try to power it back up. Take out the battery while it is drying.

As for the laptop, since it was exposed to iced tea and not water, it had to be cleaned with distilled water first before using it again.

You might want to place the phone on another angle to dry tomorrow just to make sure all the last droplets get out.

I can just see the panic dance in my mind right now, when it gets dropped in something.
