Guys, yesterday i had finger print in Bronx. NY. It took me 15 minutes only. Now i am expecting interview letter, let see how soon i heard a good news.

We have not had any touches since 08/20/08, nothing after FP... and yes noone has an interview date, I hope we all get one soon.

After my bio's on the 17th sept I was expecting the date to changed "touched" nothing yet, they actually remembered me at the fingerprint place and asked if I was returning as they were wrong, to which I said no just the next stage in the process which is citizenship. Do you think there is something wrong with the fingerprints as the date didn't get touched and updated? or has anyone else been for fingerprints and not had a "touch"?

Hi Gemma,

My file has not been updated online since August 8. I had my fingerprints taken on the 28th of August. I spoke with USCIS, they stated that it was up to the processing center to update the file online. You can also call the FBI fingerprint division to check and see when your fingerprints came in and went back to the USCIS. The number is (304)625-2000, (but direct line is (304)625-5590 ).You can try direct line first.

If you stick with naturalization & immigration route, you have option to speak with customer representative. Customer representative will ask A#, then tell you when it was sent back to USCIS. Usually the result will be returned to USCIS same day.

Sorry you got excited for nothing, we have not heard anything yet! hoping for an interview letter this month. At least you know they have been working on your case.

Can I ask what documents they are looking for?

They're asking for:

a. Original or certified copy of (immigrant's) birth certificate;

b. State-issued driver's license or state-issued photo identification card;

c. Proof of termination of all previous marriages for both me and my spouse (divorce decree, death certificate, etc. registered by a civil authority);

d. Certified copies of birth certificates for all your minor children born in the United States

We sent in photocopies of my annulment decree and hubby's divorce decree. But looking at the requirement, it states "registered by civil authority". I guess I should get certified copies of both decrees.

We don't have (d) so that's out while (a) and (B) are easy enough as I already have those on hand.

Hi,

Has anyone who filed their N-400 with TSC received an interview date yet? I called them a couple of weeks ago just to get a status update on our case and was told that we were within processing time. I also asked if our case could be checked online and I was told no it couldnt because the receipt number wouldnt be accepted by their system, well I created an account anyway just to see if that was accurate not only did it accept the receipt number but it said that our case was received August 22nd(which is correct based on the NOA 1 we received) but it hasnt been updated since August 29th the last time I checked.

Since then my husband has had his biometrics appointment on September 12th and no updates. According to our NOA1 it stated that we should received an interview date within 450 days. Will it really take that long? Another question since we filed my husband's N-400 before Oct 1st will he be able to take the old test?

Is it possible that once he passes his exam that he could complete his oath the same day?

That's their safety net just incase something happens. They told me 225 days till I got my interview. I don't think any of our cases are updated online past the first NOA. I called the USCIS and they told me that it was up to the center who's processing your file to update your case. They probably don't have the man power to update the sites for each case.

He should be able to take the old test as per the USCIS.gov
