Hi everyone,

As of today December 16, 2008 my husband is a United States Citizen, yayyyyyyyyy :dance::dance: .

My husband interview wasnt until 10:05 am December 16, 2008 @ the Atlanta office, but we arrived there at 7:00 am and waited until 9:20 am before we went into the building. We checked in at 9:23 am on the 2nd floor and we were directed to go to the 3rd floor and wait. My husband was called about 11:20 am and at 11:30 am he came out with a big smile on his face because he passed his interview, he was given a letter that stated his petition was recommended for approval pending final approval. We were told to go to the second floor where we waited and about 12:30 an officer came out and gave him his oath letter and told him to be back at 2 pm today.

We came back at 1:30 and the family members were directed to the back of the waiting room and the ones taking the oath at 2 pm were seated in the first of the waiting room. They started calling the ones with oath appointments for 2 pm row by row to enter the ceremony room and then at 3:20 they allowed the family members to enter. There were 125 ppl from over 50 countries becoming USCs today so the director started by calling out the countries that were there for the oath and if you were from that country you stood up and remained standing, she told all the USCs-to-be to repeat after her the oath of allegiance. When that was done she played a video clip of the President Bush welcoming and congratulating all the new USC's then she played a video with the song "God Bless the USA." She then asked everyone to stand to say the Pledge of Allegiance, the family members were instructed to leave so that new USCs could receive their naturalization certificates and she also stated that the family members could take pictures after all the certificates were passed out. I can tell you this it was so wonderful to see my husband become a USC today and also knowing that we have completed our VisaJourney so no more fees (except for the passport) and no more paperwork.

Sorry this post was so long. By the way could someone update me on the n-400 timeline.

I so want to get my interview date, it is so hard to watch people from Sept and Oct getting a date and I am still waiting. Boston sucks.

Hi TayRivers,

I didn't get mine either. I called USCIS and they said they don't have any information regarding interview date. I think I will wait and if I don't get any letter by the end of December I will make an infopass. :(

Congratulations Angel 7422. I am also in Atlanta but have not even received the interview letter yet! :) BTW, It seems you didn't go with him to the interview room, I wanted to know if they asked any question from you as his spouse or not.

No Sami, I was not asked to go to the Interview room. I just stayed in the waiting area with everyone else. The interviewer didn't even ask to speak to me.

Thanks for the reply, I did the same, the last thing I got from NBC was the yellow letter about the documents to take for the interview,I received it in the beginning of November and nothing then!!
