My Fiancee was asked to come back for second interview.

From talking to my fiancee the CO seems to think she had another bf at sometime in the past.

I have faith in my fiancee to tell me the truth, but the whole thing seems strange.

Question: Would the CO know this as a fact, or is this some kind of fishing game that they play from time to time?

Is this just something that the COs do at random? She says that 3 others had the same issue with that CO.

Forgot to add. Her answer to "have you ever had a bf other than your currnent fiancee?" was "No"

Is that hard to believe of a 23 yo Filipina, that has been busy with college getting a 4 year degree, and a professional certification?

That seems very strange. Who care if she had another boyfriend in the past or not. There is nothing legally binding in that. Also if the interview was successful the first time why bring her back? If he had suspcions he should have pressed the issue then. A simple, "why have you never had a boyfriend"? would do. I am going to keep tabs on this thread, it seems very interesting.

In the US answer would be yes. Philippines answer would be maybe. Yes, if she's beautiful!

Looks like the CO may have standard questions looking for untruths.

If she has had BFs and answered YES there wouldn't be an issue unless she still had them. Happens in the Philippines.

Perhaps there was a match in their databanks with her name? Some other girl with the same name who had been petitioned for a Visa?

I wouldn't panic. Trust that the CO is following proper protocol. They probably will double check the name match and once they find out that it's not her, then there will be no problem.

havent heard abt this thing..

i know for a fact that they do investigations or "random" investigations..

but that's if the beneficiary is already in the US..

Now What? Fiancee went back to Embassy for a 9am appointment. She gets out sometime after 3:30pm, after 2 interviews. She does not get a pink or a white slip. They just told her to go home and wait for there decision, which will be in about a week. When I talked to her she sounded thourghly confused but optimistic.

Does anyone have a idea what may be going on? What is the best coarse of action from here? Who do you call to get a update on the case? I wonder if there is something simple that I can help with.

Is this there fraud unit trying to railroad a honest relationship?

im sorry abt the unclear status of your case.. :(

i think for now all you can do is to follow their instructions..

and call them after a week as they said..

ive read a recent thread abt this, like not having pink or white slip..

here's the thread link.. no pink or white slip

maybe you can PM the thread starter and ask abt their situation..

so you'll have an idea at least or compare the case status..

i hope this helps somehow.. goodluck! ;)

Best thing to do is keep following up (the petitioner) with the embassy....this is so depressing, but true love always prevail so there is no need to spin your heads around trying to figure out what you do not know yet. Just make sure the document verification is paid and on going. As far as not getting any slip, based on my conversation with the embassy, once the the document verification is complete and the admistrative review is done (it can take 1-6 months), and a visa is issued, the beneficiary will receive a text from the USEM that a VISA have been issued and will be delivered via delbros. It will be a cash on delivery payment.....My fiance came across as nevous as they ask her about our sex life while i visited her, they ask why i brough my future mother in law to a trip to boracay, they ask her if she had boyfriend in the past... questions that is not even in the documents presented to the CO... if you get ELLEN COLLORAN (CO) i wish you well...all you can do is answer honestky...one thing i suggest is to speak up if don't understand anything. My fiance just took it from the CO and she felt abused. When she had her 2nd interview where my fiance can explain how she and i met, the panel did not even understand why my fiance was sent to the fraud department. No additional paperwork was needed...haaayy!!! did is so depressing, but i'm willing to give this a chance before making a drastic decision to move to the philippines... maybe then i can prove to this ELLEN COLLORAN thay we are not fraud...PRay!! pray!! pray!!! God bless!!

What is the connection of sex life to getting a fiancee visa? Is engaging or not engaging in sex with your fiance a factor now? there are still many filipina who are not comfortable sharing their sex life with anybody so your fiancee's nervousness could be understood... and what is wrong about bringing a mother in law to boracay or any place for short vacation? It is not as if, you went to boracay with your fiancee's mother alone. .. and what is wrong with having boyfriends in the past? If the girl (or boy) have an ongoing relationship with one person while engaged to marry another person then it is wrong and fraudulent but if the other relationship have cultiminated long before the new one started then what's the big deal?

Lostspace and acobnamia, I hope everything get ironed out and may your fiancees receive their visa soonest... hopefully not 6months after coz that would mean they would need to go through another medical at SLEC.

Good luck to both of you.

Filipinos are very social creatures so it is a bit unusual for a filipina of 23 years to have NEVER had a BF. It is NOT that hard to believe though.

Sorry about the problems you're having. I dont see the relevance of the question to the K1 visa. I mean so what if she did have a BF?

all I know is the embassy drills for false applications and finances. If for some reason her last name came up as married this would be the response. You should call and see what information you can. In the Phil the names, last and mothers maiden names create a real mess in the embassy's research. The more you find out the better. I do not think her reply of no prior boyfriends would be a red flag unless that see a marriage that she denied, make the call and check it out. Yhe US Embast here is totally arrogant and you cant trust anything on either side.

I called the Embassy last night. While the person on the phone was very polite and nice there is no information available to me. There only comment is to call back in 2 weeks. Seems like a standard time frame when calling there. In the meantime we will be badgering Delbros and NSO more to make sure that there research is complete and delivered.
