Hey everyone,

we filed for I129F about a month ago, got our NOA1 about 10 days ago and then realized that my name was spelled wrong on the receipt. We then called the 800 number to check what was going on and apparently we had it fixed. Only, after finally getting it set, we received the following information : some notification date (in september 08) and some receipt number, completely different from the Noa1, ending in VSC. What is it? Are we supposed to do anything with it???? We havent been touched in almost 2 weeks either. Help???

Yikes! I take it, it has your name on it? Hope the name was spelled right at least....

I have no idea what this is. It's not another corrected name version of the NOA1 is it?

I'd phone and ask them what it is. You have a receipt number, so that should tell USCIS something!

Let us know what you find out...this is intriguing!

I cant really take pictures because it is a number I was given on the phone when I corrected my number. Its funny cos every document we submitte had the right info, but the NOA1 has a typo. I am sure it wont be a big deal, cos they said it happens all the time, but I was curious what those number and date meant. We plan on calling again today :)
