he is saying the standard means of a survey and those who respond ,.,usually have a strong opinion on the issue..that is, 52% of russian..that had a strong opinion voted that way..most russians don't give a f##k for the poll or the issue

Sure you can. Most Texans are Republicans and most Californians - Democrats.

Sadly - "Most People" don't wear their nationality or statehood on their sleeves. So it would seem to be rather presumptuous to make sweeping assumptions about individuals on the basis of "type". But as far as this goes, the bigger the assumption - the worse it is.

You can't make bald assumptions about the views of individuals from their nationality alone - that's outrageous.

Their beliefs, views and values were shaped and molded to conform to the specifications of the Communist Party over many generations. Those bonds are not easy to break, even 20 years later.

And to all you russophobes, remember that there's a difference between "governments" and "people." I have never been treatly badly by Russians for being American.
