Halfway through there is an American who lived in S.Ossetia given interview.

And Latvia Russia conflict is very difficult. Latvia was torn between communists and Nazzis. Because they partially welcomed Germans, but didnt take their side exactly they got the worst from both the Germans and the Soviets. I myself lived and Riga and still have good friends there. Latvians are pretty nice, but alot are very biased towards Russians.

You really have no idea why though, you have taken one side and looking to find only one side to blame. Alot of Latvians were pro Nazzis. Soviets vs Nazzis= Lots of Hate.
