1. You have to send in a copy of teh front and back of Green Card. Does it matter if teh metalic strip just shows up as a thick black strip on the photocopy? You can't see teh presidents faces or even where it says "VOID IF ALTERED..." Just a big black strip.

2. Is it okay to highlight lines in documents? There are some documents that were addressed ony to my wife but further down the letter it has both of our names. Is it okay to highlight the names to draw attention to them?

It will be fine - they know this is what happens when copied
