delay in medical, etc!

unfortunately, i had problems with my medical exam so i have to wait for another 2 months.. i undergone a sputum exam but as for the smear results, i was found out to be FRIGGIN' NEGATIVE!!! but nevertheless accdg to st luke's protocol, i still have to wait for the culture exam thus the wait for 2 more months..

wat do i have to expect on my next appointment to st lukes? and who will have to schedule my interview because i wasnt able to comply with the original date given to me because of this prob with my med exam..

K1 TIMELINE

04.08.08 - i-129f sent to vermont

04.10.08 - i-129f NOA 1

05.15.08 - i-129f NOA 2

05.20.08 - NVC received

06.10.08 - medical exam, paid for document verification

06.17-19.08 - needed to go back for sputum exam

06.19.08 - scheduled interview (POSTPONED due to sputum exam)

07.08 - my fiance's deployed to russia

08.26.08 - 2nd medical exam completed at st. lukes, NEGATIVE SPUTUM EXAM

08.29.08 - interview at USEM (with PINK SLIP!)

09.03.08 - at 3pm, USEM released passport for delivery - accdg to Delbros' website

09.06.08 - US visa in my hands (with 11.15.08 as expiration date)

AOS TIMELINE

01.30.09 - date of marriage

02.04.09 - sent requirements for AOS

02.06.09 - requirements received by USCIS

02.10.09 - notice date for biometrics

02.24.09 - BIOMETRICS SCHEDULE

04.13.09 - EAD AT HAND

07.08.09 - INTERVIEW @ MT. LAUREL, NJ

7/23/2008 Jorge Received Proof of Ongoing Relationship Packet That I Sent Him

7/26/2008 Received NOA2 Hard Copy

7/28/2008 Petition Arrived to NVC - Got my new case number!

7/30/2008 NVC shipped petition to MEXICO!! Getting closer and closer!

7/30/2008 Petition Arrived to CDJ-(Electronically I suppose???)

8/04/2008 NVC hard copy in my mail box =D

9/02/2008 Mailing Jorge Interview Packet- Cost me 93 USD; worth it. He will hopefully get it on Thursday evening.

9/04/2008 Jorge Received the packet I sent him for the interview. YAY

9/05/2008 Jorge Received his packet 3 (identical to the one I received)

9/07/2008 Jorge flies to Juarez for Med and Interview

9/08/2008 Medical Date- went well :) He stood in line since 5:30 Am. He finished at 11:15 AM - ish

9/09/2008 Interview- SUCCESS!

9/16/2008 POE

9/17/1008 Arrives to East Wenatchee, WA

9/27/2008 Marriage

AOS EAD Steps

11/07/2008 - And so it begins

11/13/2008 - Touch

11/18/2008 - Appt Letter YAY (Nov. 28)

11/28/2008 - Biometrics Appointment

11/28/2008 - Touch

1/23/2008 - Travel Doc Approved

1/27/2009 - EAD Card ordered

1/31/2009 - Card Recieved

2/18/2009 - First day at new Job :)

4/09/2009 -AOS interview

APPROVED WOO! We are complete!

4/20/2009- Resident Card Received NOW we're complete!

Sorry you didn't see my many post on taking a early medical. Sputum test normally takes 3 days. Why are you missing your interview?

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

there are 2 ways of doing the sputum exam.. the 3 days that u are talking about is referring to a sputum smear, the 2 months is called a sputum culture.. that works in 2 different ways.. my interview was supposed to be on june 19. but my culture results will be out on aug21.

\A sputum culture test is one of the tests used to check for a lung infection and to see what organisms are causing an infection.

the US government is very particular on the health of those ppl seeking for a US visa esp for residential purposes.. this exam seeks for the presence of the tubercle bacilli, the one that causes tuberculosis..

I think it takes 2 mos to see if the bacteria on the sputum. You may want to get a second opinion, St. Lukes may not accept it but it at least helps the paranoia on what to expect while waiting for the result..

Sorry to hear about this delay.. I hope you get a negative result.. 2 mos. is already a long wait.
