Allison,

I know most interivews are the basic questions of how you met, when, what does your SO do for a job, where do they live, what kind of job will you do in the states, have you met family? Some of these not all or all can be asked plus a few more. I was widowed and they did ask about my kids if they had contact, names and ages. I know alot of the embassies if they tell you that you are approved are not issuing the same day. You have to wait for it to arrive via a courrier.

Good luck.

Mary

Wow another interview !!

As far as advice.... well be prepared for all the usual questions as to your relationship, how you met, how long you have known each other, etc. (you can find lists of them here on VJ if you search under "interview questions.") It's not a bad idea to go through these with your fiance and "practice" him a little so he doesn't get caught by surprise.... it will help if he already has the answers at his "mental fingertips."

Also, remind him that it's important to relax and even smile. I know it's hard as the interview can be a bit intimidating, but appearing "too" nervous or stressed doesn't help convince the consulates.

If any of your paperwork doesn't arrive in time, don't fret. The worst that could happen is the consulate will issue a 221g for the missing documents. All you have to do is just deliver them when they arrive, and the consulate will finish processing your case.

Above all, don't panic if your fiance gets a 221g for Administrative Review. Make sure your fiance understands that this is not a "Denial" -- it just means they have to do additional processing. It's quite common with applicants from the Middle East or Muslim countries. It could mean a delay before they issue the visa, but it's nothing to really worry about. Insha'allah you will not have to face that, but just be aware that it's possible.

Wishing you the very best of luck for a smooth, simple & successful interview experience.... waiting to read the good news on Monday morning !

My advice would be to tell him not to be nervous. Ali went into the interview really excited and confidant. He walked out with an approval. He knew we had nothing to hide and he loves to talk about me ... so there was nothing nerve wrecking for him. Yes, Ali's interview was easier than most but I believe it was because he was so happy and excited.

Good Luck !

Reunited and it feels so good ....
