Hey ladies, Toya got re-tested with Fitz and they did not have it. Ian got it from the the lady at the airport.

More of the story:

Melodee watches the machines that help Ian breathe and monitor his heart rate. She is anxious and feels so helpless.

Melodee: Ian baby. I need you. I need you to help me raise our child. I won’t dash away my belly again. My child needs its father. So…so you have to make it okay. I’m sorry for everything I put you through. I’m sorry if I caused this. I don’t know why you didn’t just let go of the truck. I wasn’t in my right mind. I was grieving baby. Ian please wake up. Come on baby…you can do this. If you can hear my voice Ian, squeeze my hand. Come on Ian…please baby. Squeeze my hand. I-I-I don’t care about the AIDS/HIV right now. Just open you eyes baby.

Ian’s eyes flutter briefly, and the heart rate monitor spikes sharply. Suddenly, two nurses rush into the room.

Melodee: Whaa? Whaa appen?

Nurse: Did you touch anything miss? Did you stand on any cords? Can you please stand over there for a minute while we check on our patient?

Melodee: N-n-no. I just started talking to him. Is something wrong? Oh-okay. Please tell me that he is going to be okay. I-I am pregnant…I-I-I mean I’m having his baby.

Ian’s eyes flutter again…opening and closing slowly. He attempts to gain his bearings and make sense of the voices in his head.

Ian: *croaking* Me-mel-Mel.

Melodee: D-Did you hear that? SSSShhhh!!! He just called me. Baby? Ian honey? I’m here. I-I-I never left sweetie. I’m right here.

Ian: *croaking* G-Gem…is-is that yyyyooo-you?

Melodee: *begins crying tears of joy* Yes honey. It’s me. It’s your Jamaican Gem.

Ian: Wh-what happened?

Nurse: Mr. Royale please don’t try to sit up. Please take it easy. We will get a doctor right away. Please try to stay calm, and don’t move.

Ian: Wh-Whaat? Melodee? Why are you crying? What happened to me?

Melodee: Baby. Everything is going to be okay. I thought I lost you! Thank you for waking up. I love you. Just rest baby. The doctor will be here soon.

Ian: Huh? Why am I still in the hospital?

Okay! It has taken me a while, but I have finally read from pt 1 all the way up to here. NOOOOOOOOOO Now I will have to wait [im]patiently like everybody else for each installment. I'm glad I didn't start reading sooner.

I understand why some people don't watch a show then watch a marathon or DVD of the whole season at once... no waiting for the next piece.

I just remembered! Someone mentioned that Jawi also started another story, Shades of Blue. Does anyone have the link to it? I can read that between My Name Ain't Stella installments.

Dr. Oliver: Well hello Mr. Royale. I hear you gave my staff quiet the scare last night. How are you feeling now? Do you remember anything? Okay. Okay. I’ll answer your questions soon. The key is for you to remain calm, and not to over exert yourself. Let me check some of your vitals first.

Ian: Melodee, baby what’s going on? Doctor can you tell me something? Somebody please tell me what the hell is going on? Why are all these tubes running from my body? Why are all these machines beeping? I only have a fractured ankle.

Dr. Oliver: Well, young man. It appears you suffered a concussion, a couple of broken ribs and some internal bleeding. My guess at this time is that your ribs scraped something instead of puncturing something as we originally thought because you are now conscious and no longer expelling blood. We will know better once we can get some x-rays and an MRI. Unfortunately, we don’t have the most updated equipment here. So, we will be transporting you to Kingston as soon as possible today. Your young wife has been here all night waiting on a sign of your recovery. You are one lucky young man if I say so myself. Can you tell me how any of this happened?

Ian and Melodee exchange nervous glances – each for different reasons. Ian is ashamed to admit that he got his a** kicked royally. He swore on his mother’s grave that Melodee would never find out that Delmar’s brother was responsible for his internal bleeding and broken ankle. Melodee is silently afraid that he will tell the doctor that she dashed him off his rental truck trying to get to another man. She does not want to see the inside of a prison cell.

Melodee: Excuse me Dr. missus. Does it matter how it happened? Just tell me what you are going to do to get my husband better.

Dr. Oliver: Calm down Mrs. Royale. I know little is making sense to either of you at this time. However, the more information we have the better. Now, as you know, your husband lost a lot of blood. Unfortunately, Jamaica does not have the best resources in our supply at the local blood banks. We normally ask relatives or friends to donate blood for their loved ones. Mrs. Royale, would you like to donate blood for your husband?

Ian: Uuu-oooo. Doctor. My wife is expecting our first child. I would prefer not to risk anything happening to our unborn son or daughter. I’m sure you can work around this as money is no object. I just want to get out of here. When can I leave?

Dr. Oliver: I see. However, I hate to inform you Mr. Royale there are some things that money can’t solve. If we don’t have compatible blood in our reserves, your money won’t help you. Actually, we could make a request to have blood flown in. But, that is very expensive, and you may not have that type of time to wait. I don’t want to frighten you unnecessarily. So, let’s get some tests done for a better picture of where we stand. Okay?

Ian: Doc I appreciate your attempts to provide adequate medical care. However, I would rather be flown back to the States. My health insurance will cover the expenses. Can you please arrange a Medi-Vac helicopter as soon as possible? I will make it worth your while…I assure you.

Melodee: Wh-what? Ian why are doing this? I can’t go with you. I don’t have papers. What about me and your baby? Are you still angry with me about Delmar and and and the truck?
