Strange action of embassy!

Guys!

I got this morning Packet 3.5 from US embassy in islamabad.

And in that packet they sent me the Ds 230 & I 864.They want me to fill it out and send them back.

The strange thing is that my wife who is US citizen,she did not send the Ds230(Which i have sent her)& I 864.

Is that mean our case is in Islamabad US embassy?

They also told me that Send them Ds 230 & I 864 if my wife did not send the I864 to NVC in USA.

I m tottally confuse what does it mean how can they even send me the packet 3.5 while we did not send the Ds230 &

I 864 to NVC.

Plzzzzzzzzz guide me i lost now and totally confuse is that bad sign or right.

sounds like you simply need to call the embassy (or have your spouse call) to see if they already have the ones your spouse sent and if you need to resend them

This doesn't sound right. All paperwork for CR1/IR1 visas needs to be sent to the NVC before the embassy receives the case. They shouldn't have your case yet since it hasn't been completed by the NVC. I think the best thing would be for your wife to call the NVC and ask them what is going on.

Hi!

Diana you are right infact i felt the same as u did.

NVC is still waiting DS 230 & I 864 forms from us.How can it possible?How can US embassy send me these things.

One more thing in the cover letter of packet 3.5 they wrote that they have received first page of DS230 from my side and now i have to send them complete DS230 forms with supporting documents and as well as I 864(if my wife did not send it to nvc).

So i have decided not to send any thing to US embassy here.I think i should wait till my wife will send NVC Ds230 & I 864.

Or is there any other valuable suggestion regarding this?

Is there anyone who has suffered this situation.

Maybe they sent that to you by mistake instead of sending it to someone else. Oh another thing, does the cover letter of the packet they sent you have your case # on it?

But anyway, I would just sit put and not do anything until your wife finds out what is going on from the NVC.

Yes cover letter has my name and my case # on it and my Date of birth as well.

But how can i send them DS230 AND I 864 while my wife will have to send these forms.

Packet 3.5 says that i have to send both forms to them then they will reply me through courier service and will send me appointment of interview as well as my medical date.

Whats going on with me?

how can embassy will send these things to me with out completeing the case.

Well here is one important thing which is that we have expidited our case coz my wife is serious sick and she sent the mail to nvc there. And when we sent I 130 then we got approved in 3 months.

So what u guys think now? what should i do?

Call the NVC first and then they will let you know what to do. If you did expedite then that will probably explain why you got the packet.

Wait for them to see what they say.
