We met in a chat room April 03. We chatted for a bit and added each other to our yahoo messenger and did not think much of it for a few months. It was more like "hi, how are you doing?” In a way he got on my nerves because the first time we chatted I told him that I'd been to London before and that "it was ok but it was not all that". Then he said in a cocky attitude "oh that’s because you did not meet me. Had you met me you would have loved London." Then I said yeah right like one guy YOU is going to make it so much better WHATEVER LOL. We made little sarcastic comments and joked around and left it at that. One day I guess there must of not been any one on our yahoo buddy lists and we got to talking, real talking and before we knew it we were having a ball, so he asked for my phone in the states. I was so wrapped up in the moment that I gave it to him with no hesitation. He called me instantly and we talked for hours that day. He had trouble understanding my Latin accent and he said I spoke too fast. LOL he’s over come that now. We never put the phone down since. We called, emailed, chatted online, and sent text messages daily 24/7. We would even call each other at odd times in the middle of the night. At the time we would of met sooner but we were both broke. I was in my last semester of university taking my last class. I made some BIG excuse to the teacher as to why I had to travel out of the country ASAP (even though classes had just started). We met 1 year and 5 months latter for the first time in London Heathrow. I took my time to go spiffy up before I walked out from customs as it was a long flight, and I did not want to make a first bad "in person" impression. He got worried I had chickened out and not gotten on the flight. Needless to say London became magical the 2nd time around. I returned to finish off my degree and catch up on all the work I missed. Three months latter Adiel came to Texas and we got married on New Years Eve Dec 31, 2005. For the first in my life I got the highest grades in class. I was even exempt from the final and every one hated me because on every exam I kept breaking the curve. One time I even got all the extra credit on the test and I ended up with 130! Yeah I was hot, and hated. I have never been an A student in my life! People could not figure out what was I doing because it was not possible for me to miss half of the school semester and come back and whoop their butt in the exams when they were in class every day. Honestly since I was little I never got passed B-D grades. Love did miracles to my brain. (L):P

11/12/02 We are "officially" together and admit our love to each other.

11/13/03 Paul flew to Arkansas FINALLY! (What a day that was!) We finally held each other for the 1st time and we knew at that moment we are meant to be... phew!

So exactly 1 year!

Why is there nothing like 0, or 15 seconds?

We met in person (I had asked his friend to hold my seat and he was sitting in it for me), so I think there was about 15 seconds between where he was getting off the seat for me and introduced himself.

I met my fiance' on a blind date -- his friend and my friend were dating and thought to set us up. We were introduced to each other. So... 0 seconds? lol. I'd heard "about" him for a week prior, however. Funny thing is, I was SOOOOOOO not "into" meeting him either! My exact words were, "Ugh, why would I want to meet someone? First of all, we probably won't even like each other and second of all, even if we do, we'd be thousands of miles apart in 2 months." I intentionally didn't wear any make-up or dress particularly nicely. I was even late showing up. I guess what they say it true -- you find love when you aren't even looking for it.

every one in Mark's Job was shocked and his family too esp that he never talked about marraige ...but they felt he may end up marrying me because he was talking about me to everyone in USA since the moment we met ..

My friends get really shocked because I suddenly married and esp I invited only my closet friend abotu persuading my family to Marry a man I met 5 weeks ago ..well they do trust and they agreed but was worried even after we get married but what made they agree is Mark's personality when they met him ,they loved him alot ...and now they have nothing to worry about at all because they are sure Mark and I are madly in love and we was created to be together

Congratulation of your approved Visa again..very happy for you:)

Me and my fiancee talked for 6 months before we met each other in person. I started talking to him on July 17, 2005 and we met for the first time January 18, 2006. That day i met him was one of the best days in my life i knew from the moment i saw his face it was meant to be. That is why i can wait so patiently for him now through this journey, because I remember how hard it was to wait for him these 6 months until i seen him for the first time. but when i finally seen him Oh My!!! it was so worth the wait. I know when i finally see him again it will be like the first time our eyes first met. It all will be worth it.

Hi Everyone,

My vote for this poll: Over 4 years....

(note: I posted this in another vj message thread before, but I'll re-post it here for this general poll too here...)

Our story begins about 10 years ago (2000), where we met each other online in a "writing group" on yahoo groups . The funny thing is that this group doesn't exist anymore, so as to the exact name of the online group where we met, who knows...(or at least I can't remember at the moment)...

Besides our common interest in writing, during that time, we also found out that we had similar medical conditions, so privately, we talked more about that, through yahoo messenger, e-mails, and heck, even through my online diary (by the way, that doesn't exist anymore either). We understood each other, and remained good online friends. So you would think that we would meet in-person then, right? But....

I was under-aged at the time and my husband was over-aged by many years...And that would be a legal no-no...

So we parted our separate ways, as he focused on his life and I focused on mine...

Ok, jump ahead 4 years later (2004), and at this time, we were both legal adults, and had both hit a low point in our lives. I was cleaning out my yahoo messenger list and found his name still on the list. And likewise, he was cleaning out his list, and found my name on the list too. Weird, that we would have each other's name on our lists, but deleted everyone else from it...So we continued from where we left off, and chatted through yahoo messenger and by e-mail as friends, but after awhile decided that we were more than just friends and decided to be boyfriend/girlfriend instead...

It wasn't until several months later, that we decided to meet each other in-person. It turns out that we only lived 300 miles/600 km from each other close to the border, with me being in Ontario, Canada and he being in NYS, USA. So we decided to meet in Canada (as I felt safer meeting where I was), and he drove all the way up to meet me then. Lol...that first meeting was very awkward socially for the both of us (aren't all first meetings awkward anways?), but we still had a good time together. So we decided to meet again and felt more comfortable with each other as we met with each other more often in Canada. Eventually we ended up living with each other part-time for several weeks at a time this way. We continued meeting each other this way for several years, since I had other obligations and could not visit and/or move the USA right away to see him.

Ok, jump ahead another 2 years later (2006), and we joked around the idea about getting married. But....

There was one catch: I had to visit him in the USA...

So several months later, as also mentioned in my VJ timeline:

Intro and Chapter 1 "Visited":

2006-04-10: Ant travelled from Canada to see long-term (6 years, 2000-2006) friend/boyfriend D in the USA. Ant and D being harassed at the USA/Canada border (POE: Rainbow Bridge, Niagara Falls) for 2 hours was 'not a picnic in the park' for them. The Immigration Officer then made Ant get a B2 Visitor's Visa Passport Stamp and I-94 Arrival-Departure Card ($6 Card) to visit for two weeks, even though Canadians are exempt from such requirements. However, what originally was a short visit was instead a 'lifelong visit' for Ant and D in the USA.

Chapter 2 "Married":

2006-04-28: Ant and D had a small garden/park spontaneous elopement in the Niagara County Region NYS USA on 2006-04-28. A memorable and lovely occasion, on the eve of D's milestone birthday. D and Ant, as Husband and Wife, happily married and living in the USA. Together Forever!

Now jump ahead another 3 years (2009), as also mentioned in my VJ timeline:

Now jump ahead another 3 years (2009), as also mentioned in my VJ timeline:

Chapter 5 "Expected": It's a Boy!!!

And the rest is history.....

***~~~"And the Americans, Ant+D+BabyA, lived 'Happily Ever After'!..." ~~~***

Anyways, thanks for reading our story! Hope you all liked it and found it entertaining....
