Good Morning All!

Pics look great, I wish we had one around here. although I am not at all sure I would get on a camel :)

Kelly, I love the new pics too, he is indeed a handsome man. very expressive little face.

PB that wedding looks GORGEOUS

Carolyn - keeping busy will certainly help pass the time. you know a watched pot never boils :P

we've not been having very good times since I got back - something about the trip has really thrown the princess off. well, I am not sure if it was the travelling or more teeth coming in or the beginnings of separation anxiety but she REFUSES to sleep and she has a shrieking meltdown when she cant see me. the past few days she has averaged less than an hour of sleep during the day and cried - no, screamed - for several hours. its like late onset colic and its not fun at all for any of us. I hope it passes soon. I havent even unpacked yet because its very hard to do with a crying baby literally clinging to your lower leg :(

OMG! Tarik is here! He is sitting next to me now. I can't describe the peace and happiness I feel now. :)

ALHAMDULILLAH! THANK GOD for bringing me the best gift I could ever ask for. Also, thank you MENA for helping me while I was going crazy! :) He's here now and I will be much better from now on. My parents love him and he loves it here (so far) :)

I'll talk to you all soon but I need some time to spend with my Tarik :)

Enjoy! Glad everything is going so well! :D

I finally got copies of the professional photos from my sister's wedding! Here's a sample pic from the reception :P

That looks fabulous! I love weddings!

Good afternoon MENA! We just had mansaf with lamb and it was...ok. Hubby decided to take over most of the preparation and he had some ideas that were a little bit off but all-in-all it was yummy.

The Fest sounds like it was a blast! I can't wait to see more pictures!

Kelly, Mr. Zaid is too cute. I love the updated pix! He has such a relaxed expression on his face like he's saying "all is well in Zaids world".

Sara, sorry the pineapple princess is having a rough time. Is it normal for them to experience separation anxiety on the spot like that? Maybe she's just got some jet lag and hasn't settled back into her normal routine yet? I hope that gets better soon.

Noura, share the bread girl! There's not much that is better than fresh homemade bread!

Nagi, how you doin girl?

MBP, I had a really good time with you yesterday! The galleria is freakin' awesome! Lil'man is ready to go back and try ice skating hehehe I can't wait to see him try it. Hubster really liked the soaps and the bismillah thingy I bought. Wasn't too happy about the price but I let him know that I..."saw it and thought of him and that he would really like it" so I had to get it....He didn't say much. I scrubbed my footsies with that stone thing I bought and they are as smooooooothe as a babies bottom. We should do it again soon.

Yesterday afternoon, our car suddenly wouldn't start or do anything electrical, and when I removed the key, all the gauge needles just sat there pulsing for a while with the key out. I found someone online with the same car and exactly the same symptoms with the gauges who just had a bad battery. Hope that's all it is. Got it jumped yesterday, but it didn't run long. We'll go down the hill to Advance for a battery/alternator check today and see what's what.

See my laundry mountain next to the camel.

It didn't run after you had jumped the battery-- like it shut down after a while? then try the altenator.

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.

sara, from working at daycares I would definitly say that amirah isnt the only baby ive seen or heard to do that....8-10 months is normally when the seperation problems set in...If you try to gear her attention to something else does it help at all? I feel for ya., but just think, pretty soon she will be at that independant stage where she wont want anything to do with you...

Couldn't even jump start it today, so we took the battery out and had it tested. It was fine. We cleaned the terminals well, put the battery back in, and it started immediately. We drove it to Advance so they could check the alternator, and that was fine too. The terminals didn't seem that dirty, but who knows. It's running fine now. Hope it stays that way.
