Boy cats have a (habit) of marking places and from what i remember with a boy wanting to (escape) when they get old enough to know to want to prowl, has he been taken care of in that area. All cats i have until this last gray one were also black and white, luv them that way my new babies one is totally black except for little bitty whiteish spot underneat on tummy back area, have fun with your new family member

a "fixed" male cat wont 'normally" make his territory! Ours never have.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Oh he is adorable! You can just see that great personality shining through his eyes. Mojo is a super name choice:-). Congratulations! (We have two black and white cats as well - Joe calls them the Holstein cats!).

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Thanks guys! :)

Yep, he's been neutered and had all his shots up to date and he's an indoor cat. He's very lovey and goes in the litter box. He's currently playing with Nick in the guest bedroom with Mojo's favourite toy. It's a round toy with a ball that lights up and spins around and in the middle is a scratching center. He loves it and I can hear Nick giggling! He's like a kid!!! LOL

This is his first cat so I'm loving watching him with MoJo.

I think we'll be very happy for years to come :luv:

no, we are not allowed pets here..

although two of our neighbors have dogs  and I am 98 percent sure that they don't have permission to have them

We technically aren't allowed either. In our lease it says no animals allowed. Our landlord on the other hand, didn't really mind. He said a cat is fine, just as long as we don't get some huge dog.

He's quiet and doesn't make much noise, he's so perfect for an apartment.

from what I remember our landlord was pretty adamant that we don't have pets..

the neighbor's dogs aren't all that quiet.. they seem to bark at everything that moves :P

Awww Marilyn . Ya can have one of mine. We have 9 in the house and 3 feral cats live in our garage ( we just had the feral cats fixed and had their shots.

My babies Alfie & Sugar will be getting fixed next month when they're old enough.

Never had a problem with any of our male cats marking territory. All our cats are fixed tho (cept the 2 babies)

Some tend to be more domineering then others tho. Maggie, our striped tiger cat is really possesive of my hubby. If he gives too much attention to any of the other cats she takes it out on them. ( I don't much care for that particular cat but she is my hubbys fav.

My fav is my big boy Buddha Tuxedo cat.

Well we got a kitty!!! :) WOO!

GetAttachmentaspx.jpg

He's so adorable!!

We went to Petsmart because a local shelter does adoptions there Wednesdays and Fridays between 7 and 9pm. We went last night to actually look at another cat that I found online. Her name was Shelby but she was far too small. When we walked in (even before we saw Shelby) we saw our little guy and he was so affectionate to us! He kissed our hands, nudged us, wanted hugs and I literally fell in love with him at first sight.

The kind lady let Nick and I take him into a back room and play with him and we both knew he was for us.

The lady said that he had been with the shelter for over a month and no one really payed any attention to him!! Can you imagine?!?! He was in a foster home previous to that and he's about 8 months old.

We brought him home just about an hour ago and he's adjusting nicely. He's explored the whole apartment, slept on our bed a bit and been so sweet to both Nick and I. He hasn't hissed or made a fuss, not even on the ride home. What a doll :luv:

Now we need your help!! A name!!! Any suggestions??? :)

Congratulations Laura on ur very beautiful kitty...

how about the name VeeJay??? ;)
