We met for the 1st time in a hospital, Bruce fell down a lift shaft and I got a flight out straight away....I went up to his floor in a lift with his mum. She pointed out his room and said she'd stay where she was allowing us some privacy. I'm walking up the corridor with a stupid grin wondering what I will say, what he'll say, just bloody excited really :P I hear a voice behind me and hear his mum answere, I turn around and there's this lovely man on crutches....IT"S HIM !! :luv: I'm still grinning like a fool, everything else around us just disappeared as I walked towards him, I say "hello you" and we hold each other for the longest time, neither speaking, then we kissed, and I melt...still do :luv: All that was missing was violins and swirly smoke :P

I would have been embarassed to do all that in front of the mom of a man I'm just meeting in person.

Patrick walked right past me at the airport. I saw him and thought, "I think that was him, I hope it was, he's cute." Turns out he didn't think he was trying to find where to pick up his luggage. When we first saw each other we just blushed and were very awkward. I took him for his first ever Krispy Kreme Donut and that broke the ice. By the next day we were kissing and cuddling and all the mushy stuff nobody else wants to hear about.

We hugged. I was only 16 and he was 19 and we were both REALLY shy so we didn't even really talk for three days :) We got over that though ;)

hubby and I decided before we met that we would meet as friends and then see how things went, we didn't want to have the pressure of all that other stuff.... but by the end of the two days we were definitely more then just friends .... hubby thought all he would get was a hug and maybe a kiss on the cheek

I forgot to add my parents were there, so hugging was really the only option as well! ;)

Joel was waiting for me at the airport...when he saw me coming (I told him what colour shirt I would have on, so he would spot me easily enough) he started walking fast towards me. When he reached me his hands went to my face and he said "You're here!" and we kissed....OMG....siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh :luv:

I didn't meet him on line but the last time I saw him, he was lost, staring at something in the air, looking up and down, left and right, to find us, trying to restraint his joy and excitement, nervous too, probably! So I am standing in the corner, watching him at a distance, a few feet away...............

And the kids go: "MMOOOMM! DADDY!! iT'S DADDY THERE!

We are tired, so tired, but inside my heart keeps beating like a tambourine. My heart explodes BOOM in my chest, when I saw his eyes looking at mine, and to see him REAL again, his REAL face, his beautiful face, which I had imagined and dreamed of so often. I can say that is the greatest moment and the most handsome man in the universe, my second half, my sunshine,my man is here, here at last!!! Alleluia.

Sometimes I think I know everything, and I regain consciousness. Seen it all, done it all, forgot most of it....

Cristina and I had been friends for about 10 years so the online thing was just chitter chatter and keeping in touch. However, after we had fallen, hmmm how would my deceased Dad have put it, "A$$ over teacups" in love with each other(10 yrs later, us Jersey boys are slow at first) and after we had filed for our K1 she came for a visit that Feb(2005). I had been waiting at the International area for about 45 mins with roses in my hand. She came through the doors with a baggage cart bigger than her and she came jumping into my arms and we kissed for about 2 mins without much oxygen. I remembered how important oxygen was to us after I could hear the rest of the people waiting to see their families and guests gave us about a minute and a half standing ovation....:dance::dance:

All done for the next 10 years...

My now husband stuck out his right hand for a shake (he was afraid I would reject a hug), I grabbed him and hugged him. He took my hand and lead me to the car. While his cousin and friend took care of my luggage, he got fresh with me in the back seat. Bad boy!

The first thing we did when I met John at my hotel room (the first time we met in person) was give each other a rather awkward kiss... then we sat down and got to know each other again.

The first thing I did when he picked me up at the airport on my return trip was say 'I didn't think you were coming!' because it was two o'clock in the morning and he got lost in the airport carpark so he wasn't there waiting for me!

This sounds so familiar and happens every time we meet. We are always separated for a long time, year or so. Looking forward to not having this feeling again. I'll tell you that :)

Don't miss resurrecting this thread with vareska-- it's sweet!

The first time my SO visited, he had to wait a bit at the airport for me after he arrived because I had a class I couldn't miss. We saw each other from down a pretty long hallway, started walking faster and ended up running the rest of the way. He picked me up in a hug and spun me around and kissed me. It was a moment I'll never forget! :luv:

Afterwards we had a 90 minute ride back from the airport, and he ended up sleeping for ages from the jet lag, as he'd never flown before and couldn't sleep on the overseas flight.
