I just found out yesterday that I am going for an interview on the 18Th of March. I was sooo relieved when I got that letter... Now I am plain excited and a little nervous, but definitely looking forward to be done with this and hopefully all will be ok!

Oh, btw nothing changed on my on line status and I have signed up for email updates from uscis, but never received any, I just got the letter in the mail. Back when I was waiting for removing of conditions of my green card I was receiving regular email updates and I even got the email that my card was approved and sent, before I got the actual card, but this time-nothing! Anyway, important thing is that its here!

I probably shouldn't be posting on this tread,since my second application date is November,but I started here, so I felt like I should finish here!

I'll post how the interview went and congrats to everyone who passed!

Congratulations! Don't follow the USCIS updates. My wife had her oath ceremony last week and her online status still says her application has been received and pending.

Excellent news...congratulations! Nice to see some movement on this thread again.

Marina's on-line case status never changed for her N-400 either...still says pending. No rhyme or reason for USCIS...par for the course.

How long is it taking for the oath letter to come through after the interview in the Seattle DO?

Just got done with my interview and got approved. The officer handed me a paper asking to appear for oath ceremony on Feb 23.

After going through the set of questions in N-400, I was aksed for any changes to the information. I had printed out information regarding 2 trips taken outside the US after sending in the N-400. He already had the pictures I sent in. I was asked to read a sentence and to write "I drove a blue car to work this morning". Then the civics questions (old format). The questions were:

1. Why does the US Flag have 13 stripes?

2. When do we celebrate Independence day?

3. What are the forst 10 amendmends called?

4. Name one freedom guaranteed by first amendment

5 & 6. I cant remember

Documents he wanted to see:

Proof that my wife and I were still married. I had joint bank statements, beneficiary forms, utility bills. He took all of them and filed it. I forgot to take the rental agreement with both our names on them. Also checked my wife's original birth certificate, original marriage certificate, my passports (old & new), greencard.

He also asked how old I was when I got greencard (possible Selective Service probe) and a couple of things regarding our history as husband and wife.

The wife had her interview today at 8:00 am.They called her in at 8:10 and by 8:30 she came out with a big smile on her face SHE PASSED .

They asked 6 questions and here are the 3 she remembers.

1 What are the colors of the flag?

2 What is the most important right granted to a United States Citizen?

3 Who is the commander in chief?

She had to write.

The children play at school.

She had to read.

They work well together.

Then she went over the N400 application asking my name and what is our kids names are, our address and telephone number, and zip code the whole time checking off things on the application.

We go back on 2-17-09 at 2:00 pm for the oath ceremony.

My wife passed her test this morning. Her appointment was for 8am; we entered the building at 7:55 and left victorious by 8:25! Here are her questions:

• Who can declare war?
• What is the capitol of Washington State?
• Where is the White House?
• What year was the Constitution written?
• How old do you have to be to vote?
• Who nominates the judges for the Supreme Court?

She had to write: I want to be an American Citizen

She had to read: He wanted to talk to his boss.

Oath ceremony set for one week from today - and I will be out of town

The wife had her oath on the 17th.Now finally we are done forever.She insisted we bring our 2 daughters aged 2 and 3 and of course the 2 year old started screaming at the very start so i had to take them out to the car and the next thing i know her she come's the whole thing took about an hour .###### i missed the whole thing boy i was pissed but now were done with this for good.
