i did something really dumb the other day, i was putting windshield fluid in my car and while i was pouring it in i was saying to myself gosh, this dont look right, why is the fluid so dirty looking and realized that i was pouring it into the POWER STEERING  so i'm waiting for something tragic to happen now, i guess the worse thing that can happen, i get a new car out of this.

Oh God, I hope nothing happens while you are driving far from home. Be careful. I'm not sure how bad that can be!

how funny!

my daughter was in gymnastics a few years back and tried out for the team and made it but then dropped out about 3 months after, it was too much work  i wish she would have stayed, who knows i could have been there watching her in the olympics this year..lol

So she tried out for the Olympic team? Or a gymnastic team?

How is everyone's SO's holding up?

Things have been so tense between my husband and I. It seems like they are dragging out his process. All we are waiting on is his final approval (which is the big phone call) and booking the ticket. Somedays we are so disappointed that they don't call it spills over into our moods and we take it out on each other. Its hard because many refugees before him got the call much sooner, but lately they have slowed down on the calls for approval. Its killing us not knowing.

Sometimes I think we should have continued the visa process for him coming as a spouse. He would have done his embassy interview a couple months ago, but I am sure the security checks would have slowed him down like the other women with Iraqi spouses. It really bothers me when I see how fast the Iraqi women get their visas compared to the Iraqi men, though I know it shouldn't. Its just the way things are.

Oh sorry to hear about the frustrating time. I will pray for both of you. It should be any day now. :)

we did some back to school shopping today, spent around $100 and still didnt complete the shopping, this is outrageous!i'm tired of these schools with their lists of demands for the kids to have in school. i pay enough in taxes, they should supply 3/4 of what they put on the list.

Education in the US is seriously underfunded. I'll be leaving college with a huge amount of student loans coz of this. It's just sky rocketed since I first began.
