Kind of confused as to what actually happens once USCIS approves the case. Is there any more info/money/whatever needed from the sponsor at this point? Or is it simply 'processed' and sent to the American Embassy in London (in our case). I've seen mention of AOS bill payments and the like, and not too sure where or when this comes into play???

For K1, you don't do anything at NVC.

NVC processing i.e. AOS fee payments and documents summisions is for CR1/IR1 folks.

For K1, your file doesn't stay at NVC for long, normally it gets forwarded to the consulate within a few days.

Thanks, I think I was coming to that conclusion at around 3:00AM this morning. I couldn't sleep and thought I would poke around the visajourney forums and saw where all this stuff (supposedly) had to happen through the NVC, but wasn't aware that didn't apply to K-1s until after I looked at it a million and one times. I was in 'la la' land there for awhile!

Don't worry. I for one know that I arrived at VJ completely confused and didn't understand the process at all--and that was when my husband and I were already half way through the process. I wish I had found it much sooner to have avoided many sleepless nights worrying over this stuff.

All the best!
