See item 22 here for instructions for civil surgeons, especially item 17:

Extra pulmonary TB, non-infectious, is not a reason for exclusion. Get her the recommended treatment and make sure no doses are missed. I cannot emphasize this enough, as missed doses can cause treatment resistance, and you do not want that outcome. Usually treatment is for a minimum six months duration. Normally the K-1 medical exam is good for one year, so she should be okay for AOS. I can't say that with 100% confidence. Your local health department will most likely have to be involved, regardless of status with the USCIS. This is normal, so don't be alarmed. They will help you.

My prayers are with you for good health.

Thai Mom

I am aggre with Thai Mom. As i recall my expercience talking with the doctor here (local doctor which the USCIS instructed me) cause I came here with the record on my medical result that I have a TB before and healed and still need to do some laboratories examination. The doctor told me it will not be a reason for deportation hence the local surgeon will help the patient for his/her medication for free, thats the good things in this. The health center here will really help the TB patients for medication to eradicate this kind of disease . So dont worry, just go to the health center nearest you and ask for help there... medicines, laboratory exams and consultaation are free...

I will include you and your wife in my prayers...

Thanks Jane for imparting your experience. i was so down the past days, thinking about my wife's case. true enough, that people here on visa journey are very helpful.

btw, when were you able to talk to a local doctor? i believe youre talking about the "civil surgeon" from the USCIS?

That was when I received the notice that I need to undergo another sputum test because it was noted to my visa that I am PTB class A or B so that I can have my medical record clear... If I was not mistaken that was two weeks since i get here... they me me a list of the health center near to my location then i call them and make an appointment... Hope this could be a help...

oh but my wife's medical exam was clear when she had it on SLEC. i guess its because they dont go a little further on doing some diagnostic tests. her xray was clear and still clear up to now. will she still receive a letter something like the one you've gotten from the USCIS inspite of her clear medical exam in the PI? i know her condition needs to be reported but i dont know how.

we havent filed yet her AOS because my attention was diverted to her health condition.
