The pictures, used in a promotion for a courier company that sponsors the Spanish Basketball Federation, took up a full page of the popular sports daily Marca. Both the men's and women's teams posed in separate images, striking the pose in a campaign aimed at supporting the Spanish basketball efforts in China.

Although no offence was intended by either the players or the Spanish federation, the advertisement is unlikely to be viewed kindly at a time when the Spanish Olympic committe is pursuing a bid to stage the Games in 2016.

did anyone else watch the 200m men's race yesterday?

that Jamaican who won is so fast... he probably could have shattered the 100m race if he hadn't slowed down at the end...

and that kind of sucks that 2 of the medal winners were disqualified... and it kind of sucks for the guys who then got the medals because yeah they got a medal but not on their own merit but because someone was disqualified...

usain bolt would be a far better athlete, if he weren't that damn cocky

teh volleyball final was a good match, with rain and everything..

and i watched the gala, but i thought it used to be longer.. tonight they replay rythmic gymnastics
