The Men's 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay was an amazing win.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

The Men's 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay was an amazing win.

That WAS awesome! Halfway through the last leg, the TV announcer was saying that the US wasn't going to do it, but I was thinking, "NO!--Shut your mouth and look!!!" Just in a matter of a few meters he gained a full bodylength!

I am so happy that the US won! I love when trash talk backfires, especially when it backfires at the last possible second. Nothing like trash talk to motivate the other team.

GO Team USA!!! I love you Lezak!!!!

We were watching the gymnasts last night and it was heartbreaking when one of the Chinese gymnasts lost her grip on the bar and fell. She was really fighting back the tears and maintaining composure but later her eyes welled up. :((F)

We've been using the DVR to record the whole thing which has turned out to be great. :)

Way to go India!

Same thing happened to Andrea from Romania on the horse, she did a flip and fell off, however got back up and continued her routine. but when she was finished you could tell she was starting to cry.

Anyone else notice that there are lots of empty seats at all the venues so far? Watched gymnastics and now beach volleyball, and there are so many empty seats. Too hot? Can't afford a ticket? Not events that the chinese like? What's goin' on?

I'm not an Olympics expert, but I thought they were always like that except for certain events.

I felt so bad for her. I almost cried watching her hold her tears.

Did you happen to listen to the commentators talking about the age requirement? My wife and I had an argument because I said there's no way some of those Chinese gymnasts are 16 (the required age)....at least one of them looked as young as 12.

Steven we also thought some looked 12. I'd be surprised if they are actually 16.

The US women had major mess ups too, some worse than the Chinese girl who fell off the bars.

they said their passports said they were 16... I am sure passports could easily be faked.. they should have looked at birth certificates ...

I know the Chinese girls look young sometimes but a few of the girls definitely were not 16..
