does appointment letter have to be original?

Hello fellow Vjers

i want to have my medical very soon. but i dont think i will be able to get the appointment letter the NVC will be mailing me. My Husband just got his copy of the letter. Can i have him scan the letter and send to me to show to the medical? or does it have to be the original copy?

NVC Received : 2008-05-20

DS-3032 sent AOS Bill Generated : 2008-05-26

Eva emailed DS-3032 : 2008-05-30

Called NVC and got IIN number : 2008-05-30

PAID AOS Fee Online and IN PROCESS : 2008-06-02

AOS Status changed to PAID online, and updated at the NVC : 2008-06-04

AOS packet with barcode cover letter MAILED via Priority Mail : 2008-06-05

DS-3032 email accepted : 2008-06-10

Copies will work. Some peeps even used the NOA2 approval notice. Also the email from USEM if you have one. My wife and anak did their medicals almost 2 months early.

Make copies of your passport as St. Lukes will take it and you won't get it back until you get your visa. You "may" need PP copies to do the CFO seminar.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

That works Eva. Nothing to worry about... Try to email NVC too since your case is already there you can like inquire just so they can reply back to you and print it out..that works too cos that's what my fiance did last time. Goodluck :)

that's what i did... i just show them the scanned copy of the appointment letter... and good thing i did that cause i received the physical appointment letter the day after the interview... wehehehehhe

just confuse. i thought medical just only good for one month to your interview?

NVC

June 23,2008- send ds230 to NVC

June 27,2008-ds230 was on there system

july 07,2008-my husband called NVC to follow up(operator told him. they request for my 2 passport size pic)

July 08,2007-I send the pic. to my hubby

July 09,2007- He send my picture to NVC

July 14,2007- He recieved the letter from NVC containing the RFE(the 2 pcs pic and The question # 20 on the Ds230 form. i just did not put word "PRESENT"

july 14.2008- he ask help from there senator to expedite

July 15,2008- I fedex the ds230 page 2.of part 1 to my husband

July 18,2008-my husband got the fedex then he give it to the senator and faxed it to NVC

Aug.01,2008- Case completed

Aug.15,2008-got our interview date

Aug.26-27- i had my medical

Sept.26,2008-My interview( guide me lord)

Last I saw they are valid for 6 months.
