Our landlord(s) are the same...say No Pets in the ads, but since someone here went ahead and got a cat without the landlord knowing (and me being upset at this, because we had been dying for a cat) when we moved into the apartment 3 floors down, we straight up asked them if we could get a cat (or two!) and they said no problem.

The day after we moved in we went and got Tory and Bob.

Tory is only about 5.5months old, and Bob is probably 2.5yrs. Both are amazingly loving cats, funny in their own right and well, it's neat to see their personalities. Tory was probably born in the wild and brought in while she was still young enough. And Bob, well, we're not exactly sure about her story, but this is her third home (not her fault by any means) and I think she was abused as a kitten. She will not go near the bathtub, and if you pick her up and put her near an Empty tub, she will freak out as if it were full of water. I have a feeling she was dropped in a tub of water. She is afraid of cans, which makes me think someone threw one at her. And just other things.

We're trying to teach her that we are nothing like that, and that she needn't worry about such things. She wakes me up in the morning to be fed with her 'chirp' of a meow, and will lay on me and purr so much, she just loves to be stroked.

Tory...well, she's crazy but we love her. And when she's calm, also very loving. We definitely lucked out with these cats. The only problem we have had is Tory had an Upper Respiratory Infection when we got her and it took almost 3 weeks for her to get better. And then just last week she started to get sick again, but me being the 'mother' almost instantly knew something was wrong and we nipped it in the bud. We think she does have herpes in the eyes though. Just a small price to pay for her love and happiness though :)

That's Tory in my avatar.
