hi shes. thats correct. we can use the AP instead of the gc because AP gets approved faster. The reason why im applying ead and ap together with the aos is because its FREE! if you apply a separate AP (not together with the aos), i believe you need to pay for that.

Also to clarify, the aos is actually applying for the greencard.

i checked the info at the USCIS website. download the forms as well as the instructions. It's there. Also check VJ, under AOS forum.

you may check the vj timeline too to get an estimate of how long it takes for AP and gc to be approved. as for my wedding, im leaving this sept and going back to the philippines on july (my wedding will be august). im pretty sure that would be enough time for my AP, or even gc, to be done.

if you have paid $1010 and only apply for AOS and EAD and later on you needed to apply for AP, you dont need to pay for that since its already included on the fee, just need to fill out the forms and send it with the rest of the requirement. Applying EAD and AP together with AOS isnt free, they are included. Just for clarification :)

hello there DAvid-Mae! so its a choice between having an AP or GC?

how do we apply AP or GC? and how long would that take for me to have an approved AP or either the GC from the time i filed for it?

if theres a link where i can review this manner could you pls share?

When you file for AOS, you can also apply for AP and EAD since they're covered in one fee. The AOS can take longer to be approved and if you need to go out of the country, AP is your way to do so. AP can be approved faster (same thing with EAD).
