10. I have submitted a visa petition(s) to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on behalf of the following person(s). If none, state none.

This is my 2nd K1 visa. A few years ago I was approved for someone else.

Are they just asking for her name, the relationship and date here??

I did enter her information in question #9.

thanks

I haven't submitted my affadavit yet, but it looks like it might be for both. I'm not sure, but it just says "have submitted visa petition for the following persons". So fiance' and ex-fiance' would provide a full answer. Maybe FWAGUY or pushbrk could render an opinion - or some one else that has been through the step.

Number 9 is for the former beneficiary. List both in number 10. This document is also used by co-sponsors who may have submitted multiple affidavits of support but never petitioned anybody. The OP has petitioned two people, one for whom he previously submitted an affidavit of support. It's important to note that any affidavit of support, whether I-134, I-186 or custom written by an attorney etc. qualifies in this context.

This is yet another example where it is critical to read carefully, interpret literally and then answer accurately and honestly.

Just correcting a typo. I-186 should be I-864. Don't know how I missed that.

I appreciate it too, both the question and answer. I no doubt would have come across the same issue when I filled mine out (same situation). This is also another great example of why VJ is such a great resource.

I have two questions on this form - #10 - I would write my fiance's name correct? (I never petitioned for anyone else before). #11 - I'm not sure what I should tick. My Fiance will be living w/ me, and at first he won't have a job - I don't know how much I will "give" him.. I can say intend, and type room and board, but I don't want to get this wrong??

The simple answer for intending to provide specific support is to simply answer no. I prefer, yes and "I'll support her as my wife."

Remember, this form is used for multiple visa types. For a K visa, you can simply answer, "no".
