Hello VJ's!

I applied for AOS and EAD at the end of may.

There is a good job position for me. I applied and I was accepted!!! However I am still waiting for my EAD.

My future employer wants me to sign a contract next week... It is a good oportunity to work in my career.

What should I do? Can I sign a contract? WHat happens if I do it? If they give me a check for moving bonus or milage, is it a crime to accept it?

Does anyone passed through this situation?

According to VJ my EAD will arrive September 7th....

Any piece od advice is very welcomed!!!

You can sign a contract but may not legally be able to hold up your end of the agreement until you have that EAD. If it were me, the start date of employment would be stated as "date (or when EAD is in hand)".

Tell your employer the truth. Evidently they want you since they want to get a contract signed. If you really want the job, explain your situation; tell them you are more than happy to work with them but that you can not do so until you get the EAD. You don't want to get them or you in trouble and by being upfront, you are showing yourself as a trusthworthy and on-the-level person.

Good luck.
