Hi VJ community

I have tried to send money to Morocco but Moneygram said that all i can send at once is $500 ,i wanna know if there are any other services we can use to transfer over $1000 at once .

Why don't you try sending $500 on 2 separate days? Or from 2 different locations?

I've never sent that much, but I've always used Western Union. Unfortunately, sending money is a rip-off (they give you a horrible exchange rate). You could probably send some money via MoneyGram, and more via Western Union.

There must be a better way--could you forward it to a bank account? I know that costs more money, but the exchange rate may be better. Or maybe PayPal (but then the receiver would need to have a credit card, which most Moroccans do not have).

You can do a money transfer throu your bank in any amount ... flate rate of $50 buuut down side is that is takes about month to get over.

you can send till 5000 bucks ( that's the maximum ) by western union .

so i think you have to try western union .

Well yes unfortunately what my bank in the US and here said ... goes for all MENA countries!

If what Hot Guy is true, then probably better to use Western Union if you are looking for speed ... but the rates they give are low! With the banks, you get either hard currency (you can sell on black market) or the local currency ... both with better rate ...

i think i was wrong cause once she lives in the USA she can send money as muc as she wants

so i think every country is diff . you can send just 5000 bucks from egy to usa
