but she said she was missing our ORIGINAL I-129F petition from our fiancee visa (and everything that was with it - medical, etc), and that the reason was that Vermont hadn't yet sent it. She said they had to request it and that they had to wait 45 days. Our immigration attorney had a copy of it, but they needed the original from vermont. She basically told us we were approved, but that she need that petition first. She told us to call if we hadn't heard anything after 90 days! Has this happened to anyone before? I feel like we are in limbo again, after 14 months of waiting for the interview date. Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA!

Umm I don't know what to tell you , I don't know if there is much more you can do now, but I hope it all works out for you and that you won't have to really wait very long. Good Luck .... glad to hear the rest of your interview went well for you though. :)

Doesn't this stink  we had our interview Tuesday and they had misplaced Anton's K-1 file with his medical records in it. They said it would take another month to transfer it from Missouri to Tucson. These people need to get their act together when they loose another person's valuable life.

I am just so angry, and I am with you on the venting.

Hope they get it together !!

I am here to help, even if it's just to offer my shoulder to cry or vent on... We are all in this together.!

My answers are based on personal experience, not fact.

We are on this rollercoaster ride together holding on for dear life.

Something similar happened to us there back in 2002 for wife and daughter's AOS interview. The interview was near the end of June 2002 and the guy doing the interview said he hadn't received some file. Wife and daughter didn't receive approval notices until middle of August 2002. Why you would hold an interview knowing you don't have everything you need beats me, unless the agency gets brownie points for how fast they hold interviews and no demerits for keeping you on hold afterwards.
