Of all the FSU girls I ever met, I've yet to meet a single one that was on b/c.

Here's one; I've been on the Pill for many years and loved it. Probably was lucky since it didn't cause weight gain or any other side effects. Started taking it while still in college; Mom found out and was furious because, as you may guess,

"it's not natural!!!!!" But I figured, better not-so-natural pill than all-so-natural pregnancy.

But you are right in thanking God for making you a guy. :)

All of the above could be solved by hormonal birth control, which Russians also are scared of.

Birth control isn't "natural."

and thinks if she will tell you this and you "won't" do it then you might get scared that she'll leave you for another man who will give her all the pampering she deserves. Just a thought :)

We've had that talk several times here and each time it ends the same way. "Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you." And then I remind her that she'll be responsible for paying her own rent, car payment, insurance, gas, electric, water, cable, phone, internet, cell phone, groceries, and whatever else. She replies that her new man will pay for it. I counter with, "Sure, maybe he will..... once. And then after that, he'll get tired of dealing with all of your complaints and high-maintenance requests and he'll move on. There are too many fat girls here that take extra special care of their guy and cost a lot less. Hell, they'll even pay him to stick around."

I don't want to push her away, but if she thinks the grass is greener, we have an open door policy here in this house. It's not a revolving door though, so once she goes, she's gone.

Don't even get me started about the the whole "pill" thing... It baffled me, the stringent resistance to taking the pill.

The pill remains unpopular in Russia and Ukraine. Abortion is free and readily available. Researching the topic, I read that the "average" 40 year-old Russian / Ukrainian woman has had at least 2 abortions. I started asking around... "what do you or your family use for birth control?" Some replied "condoms", but most replied "luck and a prayer"... Yet none admitted to ever having an abortion. When I asked why there was so much resistance to the pill, to my surprise the most common response was "because it causes weight gain!"

We had an awesome b/c regimen going here (Nuvaring, $28/month, super easy) that lasted all of one treatment because it "made her not natural" and allegedly caused viloent moodswings and made her tired.

"So what the hell is the excuse now that you're not taking anything?????" All of those symptoms are still present! I could put up with all that stuff knowing there wasn't going to be a case of the K.I.D.s in the near future. Now, I have to use the "pull and pray" as the b/c method and I don't think that's as effective. Plus, at least if she was on b/c she'd have a legitimate excuse to exhibit those symptoms. It would almost be justified. Now, I have to believe the violent moodswings and fatigue come from... from.... ah..... well, it doesn't come from working too hard, I'll tell you that much.

But you're right, there's definitely a distaste for b/c among the Eastern European girls and it probably has a lot to do with weight/image-consciousness. I doubt it has so much to do with the availability of abortions because they're so bad for a woman's "woman parts" that they also have a "foo" attached to them. Of all the FSU girls I ever met, I've yet to meet a single one that was on b/c. I knew more than a few that had abortions, but I'm thinking they would argue smoking and b/c don't go together before they'd cite a trip to the free clinic as incentive to not pop the pills.

Let me just take this opportunity to thank God for giving me a #######.

Yes, well, I wasn't actually serious about using advice from maxim. I was just having a laugh with the idea of responding to her concerns with advice from a men's magazine. "Yes dear, I understand your concerns about arousal, that's why I've been studying this article on 'Do It Like A Porn Star'." :)

Hey, works for me! Foreplay, shmoreplay, get ready! (To be quite honest, I think you do get away with a little more "manly" behavior with an FSU S/O than what you would get away with here. Sure, you're still expected to be romantic and do nice things, etc., but you're also expected to be a man, and that necesssitates a whole different animal than what we get from the girls here at home.... "this is called the donkey punch.")

I honestly couldn't tell you whether the medicine I take for blood pressure does anything or not.

Stop taking it. You'll know. Seriously, why do people think it's necessary to take something their whole lives just because their doctor tells them to? Have you been to several doctors to explore other options? Diet? Exercise? Stopped taking so much Viagra?

Slim, that was not nice what you mentioned about "fat" girls. I don't agree with you but only agree that "fat" girls are less bitchier than "skinny" girls.

About b/c.....how come men hate condoms so much? Why do women have to be on pills, why not men do something about it? It's a double standard.

Double standard?? Please!

If a (reasonably safe) birth control pill were available for men, I would gladly take it. Everyone knows, guys don't give a ####### what we put in our bodies, especially if it would help get us laid.

And using a condom is like having sex with a warm blowup doll (and no, I am not talking from experience)...

Probably was lucky since it didn't cause weight gain or any other side effects.

It seems like the "weight gain" attributed to the b/c pills is usually coupled with continuing on the fat/lazy lifestyle and then there's "more" weight gain. "I used to be able to eat a whole bag of Doritos while I watched Oprah. But now that I'm on The Pill, I've gained 12 pounds, and I didn't do anything any differently than before. I hate this pill!"

Slim, that was not nice what you mentioned about "fat" girls. I don't agree with you but only agree that "fat" girls are less bitchier than "skinny" girls.

So what I said wasn't nice.... but you'll agree that fat girls are less bitchy than skinny girls? That pretty much confirms what I said then, nice or not.

About b/c.....how come men hate condoms so much? Why do women have to be on pills, why not men do something about it? It's a double standard.

Personally I don't hate condoms. I have no problem whatsoever with wearing a condom each and every time. What I do have a problem with is the "change of heart" that often takes place in the time it takes to find a condom, get it on, and then slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowly proceed with the business. There's nothing like being all hot in the moment, taking a few seconds to get the condom on, and then hearing, "Ouch. Slow... Ow. Ooooh. Ah... hold on, move over, OK, I got it, wait. That's not it... hold... OK..... OK.... just,...... OK... no. Move. Sit down, I'll get on top....... ah, I'm not really in the mood anymore."

And don't say adding a good lubricant is a fix for this. It's not. The problem with condoms is not on Saturday night and you're both so excited (and drunk) that you'll run all the way down the street, up the stairs, and into bed, the problem is on Tuesday afternoon when you have 12 minutes before you have to get dinner out of the oven. "I'd love to get freaky with you dear. Right here on the kitchen table sounds great to me too.... just hold on for a few seconds while I go find a condom...... Got it! Now, where's the lube?"

NYGirl, you don't think it's better for the woman too? Plus studies have shown that the sperm helps elevate mood levels.

It's also good for your hair, eyes, and skin. And it tastes really good too. Bonus, extra protein!!!

Mountain Dew (yellow 5&7) is reportedly pretty good at stopping the little swimmers. So is MSG, high sodium, high saturated fat, and other things that aren't so healty for you.

Also, it takes almost three days to develop a full "load" of swimmers, so if you flush the pipes each day or two, you significantly reduce the number of sperm inside your ejaculate. Sure, you're still shooting "live rounds" but you're shooting more like a BB gun than a .44 magnum. Always remember to pull out, and keep in mind you can't get her throat pregnant! Couple that with a decent "rhythm method" (avoid days 9-15 or so of her monthly cycle) and you're actually pretty well covered. It's not 100%, but it's about the best a guy can do. Thanks, Jenna Jameson!

The last time I went off the pill i lost ten pounds immediately and gained them back when I went on it, so I don't think it's a lifestyle issue. You metabolize certain things much slower, like caffiene (4x slower!). So i don't think it's a "lifestyle" issue. But i think the convenience is worth having bigger boobs.

Don't you have more pleasure without one? The trashbag is so inconvenient, takes 80% of the feeling out of it, and hence after playing around to get it on, you are not in the same mood you were before.

And the pill does make you gain weight, mostly water retention, that's why when you get off of it, you see the 10lb drop within a month. And your boobs go back to what they were before.

My concern would be gaining weight and later on in life having problems getting pregnant......one pill makes you better in one place while damaging something else inside you. In a long run this would come up somehow especially at the time you are trying to get pregnant.
