i have all my required documents, but i got my passport when i was still single.. can i use it or do i really need to get a new passport on my married name? pls reply me vj's member thanks

Hi, we have the same situation. When i called Grace of USEM about it she told me that i should get my passport renewed because i used my married name in G-325A. So i suggest you bettr renew your passport first before calling call center for interview appointment.. But first you need you attend CFO. You can not renew your passport if you on't have a CFO certificate... Don't forget to bring divorce papers if applicable to you, pics of you and your spouse,marriage cert, NBI during the CFO seminar

YES YOU CAN GET IT RENEW FOR YOUR INTERVIEW BEFORE ENTERING USA, BUT MEANWHILE YOU SHOULD SENT YOUR PAPER TO NVC, I DID IT WITH MY MAIDEN NAME... NOW I AM USING MY HUSBAND NAME AND I AM GONNA RENEW MY PASSPORT BUT BEFORE THE INTERVIEW SO MY PROCESS DON'T GET DELAY!!! GOOD LUCK!

CFO- Commission on Filipino Overseas...Go girl attend the seminar, get the certificate and renew your passport... It would be good if you use the door to door passport renewal service so you don't have to fall in line at the DFA for almost 3 hours. I applied at the TELPPT office paid 1300 last july 31 and then back last Aug 01 for Personal Appearance in DFA

Take note i've done for less that 20 minutes. the 1300 is worth for it..Just go to LBC branches

Yeah really... i didn't even know that until PINk of Vj told me about it and she was right. Try the TELPTT they are accredited by DFA. They move faster. they,re going to deliver my passport on tuesday.

you're husband is a military also...good to know.. mine too, he was a marine then became a staff sgt. in army but due to the car wreck he needs to leave the military. He retired at the age of 36.

TELPTT? yeah he is in the army, he's in Colorado..actually he was suppose to go back to Iraq this Aug. but due to a car accident to, he needs to undergo medical examinations and medication.. my husband is planning to leave the army too but thinking of staying also.. he's only 22..16 more years to retire if ever...Ü so WE really need to get that CFO cert.? i think i can do that once i have my visa?

Whe we say Iraq all we can think is war as well as terrorist ha! Sorry to hear about the car accident he is so young.

Anyways, TELPPT is an agency too. And about the CFO, well sis all i can say is, when you decided to renew your passport you really need to have a CFO cert first that's a mandatory requirement or else you can't renew your passport. But if you decided not to renew your passport it's up to you. You can attend the CFO seminar wether you have a visa or not. If you attend the seminar for the passport thing you don't have to attend the seminar again once you've got the visa all you have to do is go back there and let them attached the CFO sticker to your passport.
