I am selfish I want to be approved, NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ilya, I know you called yesterday, but try again today and hope that you can get someone who is in touch with what's going on at the Center. I don't see how your case didn't get transferred! Either way, your approval is due soon!

Thanks, I dont really know what to think. What I just cant stand is that my case has 0 touches. Its been 9 months. Its mind boggling. And they always say, oh well we use FIFO but some cases are different than others, OH really how would you know if you didnt even look at mine yet, while a bizzillion people have been aproved from Jan-Jun!!

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

I was thinking the same thing but at the same time I realize that some of these folks from the VSC have been waiting upwards of 6-8 months and my waiting period just started a week ago. I told my wife of my concern that our process might get delayed but she understood and said the important thing is that we will make it through this little obstacle. In the meantime I'll keep busy by preparing everything for the NVC so there won't be any down-time during that process.

Has USCIS officially claimed that they are transferring some of the cases from VSC to CSC? I tried looking it up on USCIS office but didn't find anything. Does anyone know anything?

Nothing official, although VSC supervisor told me CSC is helping out with VSC backlogs.

I totally agree!!! Come on you guys be more patient!! waiting 2 or 3 months is nothing compare to waiting over 6 months for the approval, just not fair... I think it only fair that everyone wait their turn!!! Let those that been waiting since October, November and December 2007 get their approvals First!! Evil Eyes away!!!

nita

It is only fair that those of us who have waited for so long be processed before those who haven't waited as long. Look at how we feel, watching people who have been in the system only 3-5 months get processed before us.

Load-leveling should have come a lot sooner and then they wouldn't have caused yet another bit of angst in filers. If they had done this when they did a simple search based on the type of petition and the date, they could have easily seen that they would not have the manpower to do the work. But instead, they let CSC get so far ahead that now anyone displaced feels bad.

I Agree

THIS BLOG SHOULD BE ABOUT SUPPORTING EACH OTHER AND INSTEAD OF BEING SAD OR UPSET I THINK THAT WE SHOULD BE HAPPY BECAUSE WE HAVE SEEN THROUGH THE MONTHS HOW THIS VJ MEMBERS HAVE SUFFERED FOR BEING APPART FROM THEIR LOVE ONES... I REMEMBER I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN I GET MY NOA2 (I EVEN SAID... WOW IT HAPPENED IN ONLY 105 DAYS) AND SOMEONE TOLD ME HERE "AND YOU ARE HAPPY ABOUT THAT, THAT'S WITHIN THE RANGE THAT USCIS SAID IT WAS GONNA BE"... AND I REPLY WELL I AM SO HAPPY AND SO EXCITED BECAUSE I HAVE SEEN OTHER FILERS THAT HAVE WAITED MORE THAN WE HAVE... I HONESTLY THOUGHT THAT WE COULD BE JUST LIKE VSC FILERS... I WAS DEPRESSED, SAD, UPSET, ANGRY... THANKS GOD EVERYTHING HAS WORKED OUT JUST WELL, I UNDERSTAND ALL THOSE VSC FILERS, ALL THE ANXIETY, STRESS AND AGONY THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE BEEN FEELING THROUGH ALL THIS TIME, AT LEAST WE GET TO SEE THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL, BUT THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAD THAT... NOW THEY DO... I AM HAPPY FOR ALL OF YOU GUYS!!!

I don't know that this is clearly a case of human selfishness I think it is more indicative of how the human spirit handles the complete unknown.

In the US we have been taught to trust our government- many of us will say we don't trust them, however I believe most of us don't ever think the goverment is out to cause us grave harm. We go to work each day and do our jobs, and we expect the same from them. So the people whose files were sent to CSC because that is where it was directed to originally (I am one of those people) have searched and looked at processing times and checked case statuses every day- looking for something to make this process tangible. Something to give us an understanding of how and when we will see our loves again.

I don't dare want to take away anyone's opportunity to be together with their husbands/wives- I wish that for all of us. But, I think, what the original CSC filers are seeing/feeling is this: I finally felt I was begininng to understand my place in this line toward approval. I had some concept of when I could expect an NOA2 if all went well, but now all I see is another line, coming from the side, right in front of me with no end in sight. This takes all that I thought I know and makes everything unknown.

I don't blame those being moved from VSC... in fact I am glad to see that the government is working to correct your injustices. But what I fear is that in correcting what has been done to you, they will displace another entire goupr of people. And yes, that part of this makes me angry.

I AGREE!!!

:luv: NITA

Some of the content in this thread just reminded me that in the end, people only give a damn about themselves. As much as I appreciate honesty, some of the selfishness is disturbing. We all want to be approved, but I get the feeling some of us wouldn't think twice about stepping on the heads of others to get it.

Silly me for thinking that regardless of the statistics of each service centre, people who have been waiting the longest DESERVE to be approved first...

p.s. the optimism of those already approved, amuses me.

I filed I-130 for my husband last year Sept2007, all i got is a receipt#...

I think there should be no worries i'm sure the service centers have their own brains...let' all just all be patient..just have lots of faith...I always hope for the best so I always think positive...I know that patience is always a virtue..

I'm not upset, sad? yes.

Happy for the left behind vsc filers? yes

Sad that this may cause many other families to be seperated longer? you bet I am

I'm just stating what others are thinking but dont dare say, I really hope this doesnt effect all of csc on a whole.

In my opinion, and that's all it is, I think everyone that has a 2008 case should wait until all the 2007 cases are dealt with, myself included. It is not fair to them. Why should they wait longer purely based on what state they live in, or what type of petition they have filed. If it slows things down at CSC, so be it. If slows my K-3 down at VSC, that's fine. I want to be with my spouse as much as anyone else, but fair is fair. FIFO should be the policy no matter the service center, no matter what type of petition.

the only problem here is that they dont really follow FIFO rule. one person called vsc and he was just told by the supervisor that sometimes uscis people miss a box so when other boxes come in, they are piled on top of the older boxes ( i would assume the boxes have the petitions inside). and which means, the newer ones that come in get to be touched first and the older ones get stuck

I agree. It's blatantly obvious they don't follow any kind of FIFO rule. They should though.

while i respect your feelings completely and trust me i mean it....but i do have to say, that its very hard to digest the fact that the people who have filed around the same time frame at a different service center is already at NVC....i have been around here since end of may and people from around the same time at CSC are far ahead in the game...now this is nothing and absolutely nothing compared to my fellow vjers from vsc who have been waiting to see their loved ones for months...i am sure u wont deny the fact that ur mind is not occupied with anything else but the day when u will finally b with ur loved one...now imagine the thought of waiting for 6-7-8 or 9 months...that wud feel harsh...thats exactly how my fellow VJers from VSC feel every moment....not taking any sides but its about time! good luck with the rest of your journey...God bless you!
