Guys I have to admit, I am happy that some of the vsc filers are getting transfered to csc but at the same time I am worried, I have seen some june filers getting approved and I worry that my turn was very close but now we will get put to the side while they help vermont catch up. I'm sorry if this makes anyone upset and hate me for being selfish. I'm just speaking my mind. I really hope csc has the manpower to help them out with out causing a delay for everyone else.

I do hope so. Hope that it would turn out positively.

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......

I hate to say it, but this is exactly what I've been thinking all day. I just didn't want to say it out loud. I know as far as VSC filers are concerned I've barely had a wait at all, but from a CSC standpoint my case is long overdue. I'm afraid that this is going to push mine back even farther. Don't get me wrong...I am happy that something is being done about the long wait at VSC. Its just a bittersweet kind of happy.

It is only fair that those of us who have waited for so long be processed before those who haven't waited as long. Look at how we feel, watching people who have been in the system only 3-5 months get processed before us.

Load-leveling should have come a lot sooner and then they wouldn't have caused yet another bit of angst in filers. If they had done this when they did a simple search based on the type of petition and the date, they could have easily seen that they would not have the manpower to do the work. But instead, they let CSC get so far ahead that now anyone displaced feels bad.

Even though I do feel bad about those of you that got left behind at vermont, is it fair that this "might" displace 100's or 1000's of other families? Dont get me wrong, I'm happy that they are doing something, but really the best way they could of handled this would of been to send the petitions to the local service centers (each state has their own local service center right?) were they can be taken care of even faster and then it would of only displaced the short term order of what ever the local offices do.

no, each state does not have their own service center

VSC and CSC are the only centers that even process I-130 petitions

Im sorry you are so upset..but try having your one year anniversary and all you have received is a RECEIPT. I think it is our time.

I'm not upset, sad? yes.

Happy for the left behind vsc filers? yes

Sad that this may cause many other families to be seperated longer? you bet I am

I'm just stating what others are thinking but dont dare say, I really hope this doesnt effect all of csc on a whole.

I just would like to add that the reason VSC filers have been waiting so long is because CSC, right before I started my process almost 7 months ago, sent THEIR petitions to VSC. The point being, don't get too comfortable with the processing times of either processing center. The fact is, processing times change all the time. 7 months ago, there were people at CSC who had been waiting months and months and now it happens to be the other way around. Most likely, this will change again with the applications being sent to CSC. I think, generally, both service centers try to hover around 6 months processing and when it goes to one extreme or the other (less than 90 days at CSC and more than 200 at VSC in this case), they try to balance it out as best they can again.

I would advise to just keep 6 months as an average in your head. I see you've been waiting for 50 days and that the last time you saw your spouse was in May and I understand it's hard (My husband has been in Mexico since February) but this is what we have to go through and, ultimately, it has to be as fair a process as possible. Yes, processing times do get exaggerated from one extreme to the other, but, ultimately, it has to balance out.

I can't believe I'm saying this as I have been waiting for more than 6 months at this point and am a little disturbed at how far out of proportion the processing times have gotten...but I have to believe that everything happens for a reason and that everything, even these messed up service centers, eventually reaches an equilibrium.

If you dont like it go to your senator and complain that VSC is 10 month backlog, and that CVC is now going to lag too due to them picking up VSC slack!

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

Everyone cares the most about their own petition and noone wants a delay. I'm sure people at CSC are worried that taking files from VSC might delay their case and that may happen. Who knows at this point. Perhaps it will delay by a few months or more, or not at all.

I would prefer that we could all be united with our spouses without all this waiting but I have been waiting nearly 10 months now for this NOA2 and it's been horrible seeing people who filed several months afterwards getting approved while you're getting ignored.

I really think the cases from 2007 should be looked at before cases from 2008. I'm sorry if that happens and affects other VJ people.

Although at the moment we have no idea if this transfer is going to make things quicker for us (2007ers) or whether we will all just end up in another waiting pile at CSC.

Also is it just the 2007 CR1s being transferred? Anyone seen the older K3 cases go anywhere?
