How long is between the interview letter and interview date?

Timeline

In general, how much time given between getting the interview letter and the interview date? My fiancee needs to travel to Sydney and I might just take a vacation with her there, if enough time given to plan the trip.

Timeline

Usually a month. I got the interview letter on the 24th of July. My interview is on the 26th of August. Try calling the U.S. State Dept. Visa office they get the interview date too.

K-1 Timeline

I-129F Sent - 3/4/2008

I-129F Recieved - 3/5/2008

I-129F Approved - 5/7/2008

Interview Date - 8/26/2008 - (Asked for petitioner to be interviewed as well, new interview Date 9/18/2008)

Interview 2 Date - 9/18/2008 - (Case Sent to review, and not DENIED as I orignally thought)

Gave up on K1 process - 9/19/2008

Canceled K-1 Petition - 5/1/09

Married - 5/30/2009

Recieved K-1 2nd Approval (HA!) - 6/6/2009

Long Honey Moon - 5/30/2009-10/14/2009

I-130 Timeline

I-130 Sent - 12/22/2009

I-130 Recieved - 12/23/2009

Received NOA1 Hardcopy - 1/4/10 (Dated 12/29/09)

In the Packet 3 documents I got, it says one month or more notice will be given But when I git the appointment letter, I actually only had 4 business days notice!

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

In my experience it is a little less than 3 weeks - I received my interview date from the Sydney Consulate on 23 July and my interview is scheduled for 12 August.

In the Packet 3 documents I got, it says one month or more notice will be given But when I git the appointment letter, I actually only had 4 business days notice!

I cant believe how quick yours was!

I had 4 days notice! Waiting at the interview I asked a few people around me how long they knew before hand it most seemed to be about 2 weeks.

05/17/2008 AOS/EAD Sent

05/20/2008 Paper work recieved at Chicago office.

05/25/2008 Notice of receipt received

05/29/2008 Check cashed

08/21/2008 No action for 90 days, (including Biometrics) called USICS to start an inquiry, so much for reviewing cases as they are filed!

09/19/2008 Made info pass apointment....no touches since May 29th!!

09/25/2008 Recieved a letter to tell me my EAD was approved on Aug 28th however Phoenix Office is still too backlogged to take my biomertrics!

09/29/2008 Revieved letter for Biometrics appointment for Oct 8th

10/08/2008 Biometricts

10/09/2008 Touch on AOS

I recieved my interview letter August 22nd, and my interview is September 4th!

wouldn't say there is a lot of time between the two.
