How soon does NVC process DS-230

I just sent my husband's DS-230 with the documents and it should arrive on 8/7/08 at noon. I just wanted to know if they enter it as soon as they receive it or does it take a couple of days? I know that they make appointments for September by the end of this coming week(2nd week of every month) :wacko: and I want to know if I can make it by the deadline for September. If anyone has answers please feel free to comment. Thanks :thumbs:

they usually enter it into the system within a day or two of arrival to the NVC. as far as getting case complete, from what i was told it was usually a week or so, but mine was entered into the system July 29th, and i've still yet to get case complete :( *scared of getting a RFE now*

After they receive the DS-230 packet, it takes them about two weeks or so to complete your case if there are no RFEs issued. Some people have said less than two weeks, others have said more, but on average it's about 2 weeks.

yes on average about 10 days for "case complete", unless you one of the lucky ones......Then about another week for Interview date... I believe cut off time for September date might be August 15th.... :unsure:

Thanks for all your advice. I just talked to rep on the phone and she said it takes upto 15 days to enter it into the system but I don't believe that. When I sent in the AOS package the same way it took 2 days and it was done. I am hoping for the same to happen to the DS-230. Nita&Assaad thanks for keeping me hopeful I hope by the date you stated it would be already done. Good luck everyone.

We have to be hopeful. I have been calling NVC everyday and hoping for good news but it is the same info on the automated system but I am having a good feeling that it will be completed very soon. Hang in there. Good luck.
