Hello all,

I'm not sure what to do now after I paid the IV and AOS.

Can someone explain the next steps? I saw the guide created by Lotofpatience, but it's still not clear.

I know I need to complete the DS230, but do I need to wait for them to send it to me or do I just print it out and send it in with the barcode sheet? Are there any other documents to complete at this time? I've heard the documents needed to be sent in with the package might be country-specific.

Let me know what else I need to do.

Thanks.

you donot need to wait for any thing now , as soon as ur iv bill status changes to paid, printout the bar coded sheet, fill up the form ds230 and send it along with your original birth certificate , original marriage certificate , 2 photographs, copy of your passport and all the original police certificates from the countries you have lived for atleast 6 months since age of 16.

I hope it helps

Thanks for the information.

But, for my knowledge, how did you know what to send? Is there a package supposed to be sent to my wife in Canada that explains everything?

Thanks.

Your wife should receive a letter from NVC. It will look like this (basically telling you to go to the website, download the DS-230 and submit the civil documents - which are also listed there and which you will want to check):

The link provided in the letter is this one: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html

When you follow the links for interview instructions - it will take you here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3742.html
