Hello,

I'm not sure what to do now after I paid the IV and AOS.

Can someone explain the next steps?

I know I need to complete the DS230, but do I need to wait for them to send it to me or do I just print it out and send it in with the barcode sheet? Are there any other documents to complete at this time?

Let me know what else I need to do.

Thanks.

I've tried following the guide, but it's not clear.

It states to send the IV package with the barcode sheet, but it doesn't state what should be in the package.

Does the NVC send me something? Do I just print out the DS230 myself?

Thanks.

Your spouse will have to fill out the DS-230 with the required information and sign it. Then he will need to send it to you with required Documents. Go to the Department of State website to see what documents are required with the DS-230. You can also check with James Shorts for list of Documents. But it's different for every Country, you will need to look under Canada. Marriage Certificate, Police Report, Birth Certificate.. etc...

Hope this was more clear

Once the NVC processes your IV Bill, they will send you instructions on what to submit with the DS-230. Besides the DS-230 form, you will have to send them other documents along with it. The list of documents needed for your embassy are listed in the Department of State web site. Pull up your embassy and read their instructions.

Same goes for the AOS. They will send you instructions for the I-864 after they process the AOS payment. You need to submit form I-864 with any additional documents they request which are listed in the I-864 instructions found in the USCIS site.

After they receive both, the DS-230 and I-864 packets, they will complete your case.

Hope that helps.

Diana
