Sorry Master..I'm not sure..but be ready for a drug test.blood and or urine

Just for example... if someone is a very rare smoker, and take a few inhales one day after many months of not smoking... would 2 months since the last smoking be sufficient to pass the drug test, whether blood or urine?

I'm not a master :), but it all varies on body type and such..but if very infrequent smoker ..2 mths should be enough..but it does stay in the blood longer than urine..stay completely away from the stuff..do u know ur interview date already ?

We don't have date yet, havent received the packet 3 yet even. I am confident that we will be ok, but I was just wondering if anyone had specifically smoked for XX duration before their interview, and then passed the test because of waiting XX duration.

Just stop smoke from now.

What does that mean, Tre? How long did they stop before?

Marlita.....I was not saying it was right. I was just saying that is the logical place to ask the question. In my mind anyhow. I think if they are going to drug test it should be for every single country. That's the fair way. (I do agree, Tre, about the hair. There would be a lot of really close shaved JA men and women walking around the US for a while!) But that being said, I have read a lot of other country's regulations that I am glad the JA/US embassy does not follow. Each embassy seems to be just a little different.

JG --

Someone told her she could stop smoking 2 months before...well, that didn't work for her. I know people who stopped for the same timeframe and they were fine. I think it depends on your body. If people are so worried and concerned about it...just stop smoking from the filling process has starts.

Yeah, too late for that. Received the Noa2. Should be fine though.

You should be fine. Like I said...I think it really depends on how much a person some and how long they've been smoking. I mean, I have friends that as soon as the sun is up the burning a splif. They'd rather smoke a splif than eat breakfast or wash their face first. Now, is that a defined weedhead, I don't know. If you know what you got to do, just deal with it. It's just temporary. Noone is saying you can't bun weed again...just chill out for a while.

Wow! Was that person smoking all day long? 2 months seems like a long time. Most I know have stopped for about 6 weeks, stayed away from the smoke even, shaved their heads, etc.

IMO....if you care enough about the person and the visa, you will do WHATEVER it takes to make sure you are clean. Quitting is the one and only way I know of to ensure that.

We don't mean to be overly harsh on this issue. It is just a sore spot. We've seen many good couples crash and burn because the foreign SO could not pass the drug test.

I wish you well on the rest of your process.

Me and my fiance were talking today... if the visa thing doesn't work out, we'll just move to Jamaica and live on the beach ;)

Obviously you've never been there. Much easier said then done.

It's going to work out. Channel the positive.............
