As long as the flights won't be too expensive what with AOS and everything else (so probably not August since I would've just got there :lol: ), that sounds good. I'll be in MA, so not too far from you, Mara. :)

I know it must feel that he's still controlling you Donna, but think of it this way; many many people on here have had to wait a long time for their ex to sign divorce papers so that they can finally apply for their visa and be with the person they love. You and your fiance have applied to be together, and there's nothing he can do about that now. After April, this will be over. Are you hoping to bring your children to the US? This is probably the biggest hurdle you'll have to escape your ex for good, hang in there.

Hey you guys! oh my god ! we are on page 92 of the forum! nice!

K1 was the best option for us, because in Venezuela the K3 process takes about a year!!! so we prefered to wait less and.. also .. it wouldnt be nice to be married and be apart you know..so we decided this was the best way!

Hey!! AEROSMITH is coming to VENEZUELA! on Feb 1st !!!!! I LOOOVE HIM!!! I am buying my tickets this saturday!!!! yeeiiiii tell me about you guys?? have you seen Aerosmith!!!!??????? Well I am just so so so so soooooo excited about the concert!!!!!!!! jeje just wanted to share!!!:)

Oh I understood you divorced already, I just wanted to compare it with cases that are here often. People having to wait so long because of their ex. And wasn't sure if you were wanting to bring both children to the US.

Try and hang in there.. as much as it doesn't seem so right now, you're all on your way.

i mean why April surely they r not too far booked with the courts already, April the 30th to add insult to it. wouldnt mind but he has given his permission in writing several times i gave him the house omg.

I am so disgusted soooo disgusted

I want my day in court so they can see what he is doing but now not b loody April.

Marie: Can you request a sooner court date? I know in america that's possible to do in a lot of cases, especially when the schedule is going to affect your life so much, and of course, for criminal trials it's our right to have a 'speedy' trial (at least when it is a criminal issue... too bad speedy is a relative term now days). Why is it going to court, is it a requirement to make the decision official, is it because your ex is fighting for control of the children or wanting to change something in whatever agreement you have as far as support/etc, some other reason?

Helloworld08: Wow... 639 here... and I started closer to 350... OWWWW... that said, I also see that the processing time has changed too, I'm assuming this is a somewhat botched attempt to switch to the 6 month processing time frame... it's showing everyone who hasn't received a NOA2 in the time frame (2003-04-01)... uh... pay special attention to the YEAR haha. Usually the top 70 or so are mostly people who have just never updated their timeline... now mostly it's the top 450 or so I think haha.

07-02-2009 Lawyer submitted our suit to court

07-17-2009 Court day 2: Success, must respond by 21st August. - No result ever came from this.

10/06/2009 Withdrew K1 petition

10/10/2009 Married

10/24/2009 CR1 packet completed and posted

10/26/2009 Packet arrived at Chicago - And Submitted our Aussie application

11/04/2009 Application of CR1 returned - was rejected because of a "blurry zip code" we didn't bother to re-apply given that Chris had lost his job

04/05/2010 Australian application still pending

September 2010 - Chris arrived in Australia on Temporary Visa.

10/10/2011 - 2 year wedding anniversary - Chris to be granted Australian Permanent Residency

Summer 2012 - Planned immigration to USA.

*We have visited each other 8 times since 2007*
