hey guys, I have an ametuer-ish theory as to why the number of NOA2's have slowed down..... if you go on the VJ timelines page, and look at the Vermont timelines, for the most part, MOST of the June stuff is finished, and the July stuff has started, HOWEVER, there is a huge gap between the reported number of NOA1's between 7/05/08 and 7/23/08, there is only ONE NOA1 between these dates, I dont know if thats due to less being filed, or, just less people on this website reporting their NOA1's in those 2 weeks, if so, people could be getting many NOA2's from July, but they arent reported on this website, so we dont hear about them. I know this is a random assessment, but I just thought it was food for thought. Its HUMP day, woohoo! Weekend is almost here!:dance::dance:

For those of you actually having stress related hospitalizations... this won't cure being lonely and missing anyone, but get some exercise, it really does do wonders for stress... find something you like though, don't pick something grueling (unless you have the willpower to stick with grueling exercise).

The election is over, and I'm seriously hoping to see a LOT of NOA2's flying, so far this is one of those weeks where watching igor's list is just down right depressing, it's wednesday noon and only a single NOA2 shown for the week (the plus side is that single NOA2 went up right away at the start of the week but it needs friends, it's a very lonely NOA2). Harsh: That's entirely possible that there just wasn't many filers during the time period being processed now leading to this little dead zone, I think we'd still see a few here and there since the NOA2's are processed in exact order, there is kind of a shotgun of dates that get approved together.

Hey, just popped in to see that everyone is getting sick! Come on guys, give your immune system a kick up the ###, it needs to stay strong!

Seriously though, stress-related problems is completely normal.

Have you all heard of the Fight or Flight mechanism? Most people know about this, it's one of the things you learn about in first year of psychology, how the body deals with stress. It goes into Alert (responding to the anxiety), then Resistence (attempting to fight off the stress via all of those body changes you're experiencing, faster heartbeat, feeling sick in the stomach, headaches, insomnia, etc) and then eventually Exhaustion. This is where your immune system is down from all the high levels of stress that your body is trying to fight off. It makes you feel tired, "empty", anxious, and prone to illness.

There's nothing that can make your stress go away because we don't have control over the immigration process, but you can make it easier to deal with.... eat healthily, get lots of rest/sleep, exercise, learn how to handle "attacks" that you get to recognise... treat yourself on your bad days, and make the most out of the good days. Remind yourself that you have a large support group ready to help, and that each week is one step closer.

Certain foods boost levels of serotonin (happy chemicals) such as chocolate and bananas..

Also, this is a personal tip, but rather than stressing yourselves out further by constantly checking Igor and the USCIS site, remind yourself that you're unlikely to see anything until December. I don't check for updates everyday because the status is the same, and of course I expect that because July is only just getting started! :)

Until then, you might as well take it easy and keep yourself busy doing pleasant things that you enjoy.

Keep up the optimism, guys and girls!
