247 or 248 here on igors, seems like it started somewhere around 347... I'd like to see it moving a heck of a lot faster than it is. I see references to how CSC is busy with election related things vs working on k-1's so hopefully they'll pick up the pace this week, I'm still officially predicting horrific NOA2 approvals and I win this last week because it turns out I was right... next week maybe I'll win because there'll be a lot less people waiting in line ahead of me... but I'll set for just being right about it being another slow week (for CSC anyway, VSC seems to just be trucking right along).

Ah Maliciant your postive attitude to USCIS always brings a smile to my face.

I heard the election nonsense, personally I think it's rubbish, and right now I am really wishing Chris and I had gotten off our butts and actually got this sorted in June/July lol, damn election!

Lol we have had this convo about 30 pages back, if i remember rightly it drove Maliciant crazy...

Our plans are fairly simple, we are going to a courthouse and having a courthouse ceremony when I get there, get married and file our AOS as soon as possible. We are having a ceremony and reception however somewhere in the August-October range for us, family and friends. At the moment we are looking at reception places, we were orginally going to have it at Maine, but we can't justify the 25K that it would cost us up there. So now were are searching the DC/MA/VA area to find a place. We have a couple that we have found so far that we are ringing for prices and Chris is going to visit, armed with a mate and his wife and a camera lol.

I hope to find something we can book this side of Xmas, that way I can give family dates and I should be home in time to do all the fun stuff, table arrangements, flowers, etc. :D

How bout you then?

Spring time for me maybe... Or I could be a June bride! LOL I am busy trying to look pretty for my SO coming in December. Trying to get that perfect skin and glow for when he gets here and for that BIG DAY!!!

Our wedding rings should be ready in two weeks... My wedding gown is good to go, but I am not going to give the go signal until the NOA2 comes.

I am shopping for wedding favors and souvenirs too.

I am busy setting up an engagement party when my SO gets here.

I have arranged something with the photographer for pre-nup photo sessions.

I have a new dress done for a very special dinner with my SO when he gets here.

I bought a full spa package for me and my SO too...

Need I say more?

Come on USCIS... We need that NOA2!!!

Awww... Fred that's really sweet. I am wearing at two silver rings right now. ;)

One is something my fiance gave me for Christmas last year - it's a claddagh. He's of German-Irish descent. And I bought a set for the two of us - a chinese character silver ring that means "long life".

And he'll bring my engagement ring in December and the wedding band next year. Lordy, my hands will be full!!! LOL

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Not the wedding discussion again!

A courthouse wedding, pretty much we'll get off the plane, go to the court house, I'm hoping they have a midget there working, that can do cartwheels or something while we fill out whatever paperwork, that'll make it super romantic. Basically I figure the sooner to get the legal marriage out of the way the sooner AOS and other things that tend to hold people up can be completed.

But then one year later, about, we'll fly back to the philippines to visit and have a beach wedding, not a huge one apparently, but a nice one, my fiancee is in charge in the philippines so it's up to her to work out the details hehehe... the scale of big and small are different in the philippines than in the US, so I might still be surprised when it happens.

Also, there seems to be a lot of November birthdays among august filers... my B-Day is the 26th, I like video games, sex, and noa2's, so keep that in mind when shopping for a present for me, I'll be insulted by anything with less than a $25 US value, I WILL HUMILIATE YOU IF YOU DON'T SPEND ENOUGH MONEY ON MY PRESENT!... Fred: From you I will accept two things, first you must check USCIS, you *COULD* have a NOA2 waiting for you right now that the physical mail lost and you won't know for another month if you wait when you could find out right now by looking online!!!! and you have to give me your plane tickets for just after new years, I know, you probably don't want to, but my birthday is all about the spirit of giving *expensive gifts* to me.... Anyway, I don't have any plans for my birthday, my fiancee thinks I should go out and celebrate or something, but who cares about birthdays when it's right next to thanks giving, the most delicious of all american holidays!

When I went to go visit Emilia bought a ring/band for me to wear, nothing fancy, its just silver, but it means a lot, I this will be my engagement and wedding band for life......

Me and Sebastian did the same thing! He wanted something to wear so we bought his wedding band early and he's been wearing it on his right hand. He loves it :). I think it's really sweet when guys want to show the world they're taken, too.

Sorry to bring up a sore topic, Maliciant! We honestly considered doing the courthouse thing too and having a proper wedding in the summer but decided on a fancy elopement instead. It sucks not having family there, but at least you'll be so much less stressed on your ceremonial wedding day because you won't have to work out all the AOS stuff immediately afterward.

We're getting married at a mansion that's an hour away. We're trying to keep our budget low, so we're honeymooning within a 2 hour drive too. Loads of details can be found here. So we have the location, the honeymoon location, I have my dress and we've narrowed it down to two photographers. So, USCIS, can we have our NOA2 now please?
