I don't think fred and happy dancer have switched places yet... fred only checks when I make him! (which sadly is pretty easy... I just remind him he's our only hope for a noa2 since the rest of us have checked twice already on any given day... he could be the lucky one! mwuahaha). I'm having one of those lonely days missing my woman, and of course it's the middle of the night too so not the best time to call (I don't think she'd mind a call at 3 am but the rest of her family probably would rather I wait about 6 hours hehe).

The weeks are flying by these days, and every time we hit another weekend, the next week that goes by is a more significant portion of the total time left. Of course, it'd be nice if igor's list would show some serious movement, enough of these slow approval weeks and I'll lose faith in my optimistic projection of when we'll start seeing NOA2's (and so far no new july noa2's that I've seen... I did just notice http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profil...l=&id=48967 , how lucky of them).

Good Morning August!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I was just thinking...a couple of months ago I was really annoyed that it had taken us so long to file for our visa (we could have filed at the start of July) but I have come to realise that I would be terribly upset without my August Filing family! You guys are great, we are already up to page 64 with nothing to talk about, its silghtly amazing.

Anyhow things are pretty good this weekend, spent all of yesterday talking to Chris and we actually have a less blurry wedding plan now, plus I have been getting more work which has made the weeks go faster. My NOA2 is due sometime around the end of December at the moment so I'm over half way, in fact it probably only about a month away till we start seeing some August approvals! Guys we are almost there! Who would have thought it could go this fast!

I only have 54 days till I see Chris too which is awesome :D

Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend.

after NOA2 the process is in our hands right we can choose when we would like our interview and medical!!!

am i right in thinking that! ???

I know in a perfect word we would all like to get them out the way, but not all of us are lucky enough to have access to high funds lol so it would be reall helpfull if i could space out the two...

Once you get the NOA2 the process get's more involved, but you still don't have a whole lot of say in things. (First it goes to NVC and then the foreign embassy which is really when it gets busy). For some countries (the philippines) you do the medical when you want, any time after getting a case number, I've seen some places you do the medical the day of or day before the interview, so you have to look for your countries specifics. There is a lot of document gathering, police certificates, NBI and CENOMAR (philippines specific again and fiance/e specific for the cenomar though I think there is something like that in most any country), a lot of that you have some degree of control on when you go to get it, but for the most part the sooner the better and some of it should probably be gathered ahead of time if it may take several months to receive (police reports from other countries lived in for example could take some time though I think most only need them if they lived in a different country for a certain length of time). You can usually have your interview date moved (presumably only further back and not sooner but possibly sooner too) but the initial date will be assigned. Basically, when it comes down to it, we dont' have a whole lot of control at any point during the process.

I lost my keys today, somewhere outside... I knew there was a reason I don't leave my apartment most days!!! The irony is I'm not in the habit of losing things from my pockets, and as a precation I had actually taken something out of my pocket out of fear it'd somehow jump out of my pocket and left it at my brothers until I was heading home (I was on bike so no place to store stuff really)... but either way, I tried riding along the path I had gone hoping to find my keys... no luck, on the plus side I probably put 30 miles on my bike today... but grrr... I want my keys!

hey maliciant, I think the reason that couple's file went through so fast was probably because they applied for that "expeditious" thing, thats the only reason I can think of for having theirs done in 15 days, what do u think?

I don't think an expedite is usually even that fast, I know that there have been several other extremely quick processed petitions at VSC *without* an expedite that this happened to, so instead of assuming there was an expedite (which is what seems like it should be normal for such fast processing) I'm assuming there wasn't an expedite, but I don't know for sure either way. I just figure for people at VSC there is always an odd ball chance on any given day your petition gets processed ridiculously out of order, though this kind of thing may only happen with new petitions.
