Thing is, the opening sequences to the movies are the most disturbing as they serve as hooks for the gore fans... I don't watch the movies for the gory scenes, so I hate when people say (not you obviously) that whoever watches these movies are sick. I watch it for the appreciation of the story, the morale behind it, the twist, the character of John which is amazing.. I go away feeling scared and appreciative of my life, which is the point. Not to see how many different ways a person can be tortured. Those are just there for the other kinds of horror fans.

There is usually enough gore in the start of the films to qualify as sick!!! And honestly, 5 or 10 years ago I probably wouldn't have been bothered in the least but these days it just makes me uncomfortable to watch, I'm not sure if that's just because things weren't that gory so I have no comparison from when I was younger or what... but possibly just as twisted, I'm for the replacement of those scenes with self mutilating scenes from jackass for the first 15 minutes!!!! Wait, actually... give me a whole movie of jackass, I can never get enough "man hit in nuts with football" in a movie! (Jackass 2 is the last movie I remember seeing in a theater, it's definitely the last one I went out of my way to see, there is a possibility I saw another movie with friends/family and don't remember).

I didn't play the video game and pretty much a rule of video games converted to movies is that the movie will suck, but lately that hasn't been the case and Max Payne looks good, and hey, it's got mark wahlberg, and his movies are usually entertaining (despite his kind of slurred accent, somehow that doesn't annoy me as much as it seems like it should). There's nothing I'm too excited about seeing right now, possibly because I don't watch enough tv to even know what's coming out....

But there is the UFC 90 this weekend... I'm looking forward to watching anderson silva stomp the bejesus out of patrick cote and HOPEFULLY Thiago Alves will put a beating on Josh Koscheck, not that I'm a fan of Thiago Alves, josh koscheck just makes me want to see him get beaten, I don't know if it's his personality or the way he looks, but he irritates me... realistically though Josh will probably win his fight, he's ridiculously good, which makes me hate him more, I don't think it's just me, I think he just puts out a vibe that makes everyone want to see him take a severe beating.

No halloween for me, though I'm sure I'll help my neices with some of their sweet candy lewtz! (But hopefully not too much).

Hello all my Beautiful August Filers!

I have missed you the last couple of days but I have been busy actually working lol!

I miss the fact that I won't get to see Halloween this year, its always amusing seeing the kids running around in their costumes, sadly in our neighbourhood its not really a trick or treat zone.

As for the Saw series, I have seen 1 out of the 5 and intend to see no more, they honest to god make me sick. Its not the blood and gore (though that does assist with the process) but more the whole plot line and story, for me its way too realistic, and the bit that disgusts me is there is more then likely someone body out there who will copy (hey lets face it some of them dont even need the inspiration).

Max Payne however looks interesting, and seeing as though i am a big Mark Wahlberg in (loved him in shooter) I think I will make an effort to go and see that one.

And now back to the Visa story...

As promised Chris marched down to the DC USCIS Office on Thursday to prove to them in person that he is in fact who he says he is on the phone. He took a shiney little number and a seat and waited to be seen. And Waited....and waited......and waited.....for about 3 hours.

By the time it was his turn they were closing the #@&%ing Office so they have given him an "appointment" time at 945am on Monday to prove he is who he says he is and finally get our NOA1 and our Case number.

I am really over USCIS I am hoping that is the rocky bit out of the way and everything from here out is going to be as smooth as butter...

I am off to do some "I will feel better if I get a new Top" shopping.

Ugh, I thought they only did that to people looking to immigrate at the embassy's in foreign countries. I wonder if an appointment could have been set over the phone to avoid that three hour wait?

Well they told him on the phone to "just come down" and wouldn't let him make an appointment, so it is apparent that they treat their own citizens just as badly. This is actually (sadly) of some small level of comfort to me, at least we are all in the same boat...

Oh Mara, that is so aggravating! Chris wasted his precious time for their incompetence and then? Sorry for him, he had to wait for three hours but they're closing?!! Ugh, that's total BS for me.
