aww.... Mara, I missed you too! So everyone's going to work? I am going to be the only housewife-to-be here? hmmmm... it's ok guys. I can go ahead and make myself available to all of you and maybe I could do the research for your other concerns namely: recipes, embroidery, flowers, hairstyles, makeup and lots of other things. LOL

I will have a lot on my plate I wouldn't know what to do with myself.

Emilia wants to work ASAP as well, as soon as she adjusts (30 days) then off to work she goes.

PM me for any AP or AR relating to the NBI

Thank you for those time lines. I couldn’t find them on my own. However; I think the reason their NOA2’s came so quickly was because their consulates is Canada. I have heard that Canada and U.K. usually get preferences over everyone else. They usually are the fastest cases solved. I am not surprised to see them move so fast.

i do not think so they wait same as everybody else you look and see some uk people still waiting from march still

NOA2 16th DECEMBER!!!!!!!

Oops, lost a previous post that was more in depth... so here's a short version.

Those NOA2's that happened really quick were probably just the wrong box was processed, so it was very out of order, people in canada and uk definitely normally have to wait the same length of time for NOA2, however, after NOA2 they probably have it easier to some degree. If you search for posts by huskerkiev you can see how the normal processing of petitions occurs, and how they are normally loosely out of order to begin with. Igor's list has entries from people who may have come here, read some posts and then left never to return, the fact some people show up there with march filing dates doesn't mean a lot of people were missed from those months, it could just be they failed to report they had received their NOA2... but there are some people who are definitely still waiting far out of the normal order, usually stuck in some security name check I think but I don't think that's really that common, we can only hope not to find ourselves in that position since for the most part you can only wait it out.

Temp EAD can be gotten at any PoE, but JFK is just known for giving it automatically without asking. Whatever your PoE is, you should be able to ask them to give the temp EAD stamp as you go through the PoE (when you hit the line that says visitors/citizens and LPR, that's the person to ask). It's up to the officer to decide if you get it or not, it's just a stamp, so why they wouldn't grant it to any K-1 holder I don't know, I think it's pretty rare for someone to come on a K-1, and not get married, and presumably do AOS as well though that part has such a hefty fee maybe it doesn't happen quite as often as people come into the country...

And the reason I was posting, I saw VSC had it's first July NOA2, if they had one before it was probably out of order, but this one is close in date to the other petitions being approved... Basically for VSC the first august noa2's are probably only a month away, pretty exciting news... CSC seems to be about 2 weeks behind which isn't too bad, I filed at the end of august at CSC so I'm probably not going to see a NOA2 for about two and a half months still, but maybe CSC will kick it into gear soon, so far VSC is having a good week on igor's list and CSC is not so far... but hey, we're definitely getting close to seeing some NOA2's here.

In the short version of my lost post, I forgot to say that most temp agencies will probably have no problem with employing someone with a temp EAD, I say probably because well, I tend to view places like that as kind of fly by night keep people moving through the door kind of places, they claim to want to find permanent work placement for people but rarely does that seem to happen, and why should it, if someone does get hired, the temp agency stops getting their cut... but I've worked for a few and finding a job via them is generally pretty easy if you have the skills to do clerical/administrative work or manual labor/construction/assembly line type jobs, and the nice thing about those kinds of jobs is pretty much anyone can do them. For the clerical stuff, they generally want people who can type 35 wpm, if you are on the internet, you can probably do that, hopefully with some accuracy, it seems like they've had me proof read a document before, this may be a problem for many immigrants if you know what eye mean, the kind uv mistakes that are usually included in such a test aren't not always obvoius if english isn't your primary langauge. Generally speaking though those places don't have any strong reason not to work with someone with a temp EAD, so I'd plan to aim for those kinds of places at the top of the list as they usually can place soemone willing to work quickly and in terms of work experience in other countries than the US, many employers may not take it that seriously if they don't recognize the name of the company, so even if it's a temp job the pay isn't usually too bad and do a good job you can probably get a good reference if not permanent placement once your AOS is official if you are lucky (I say lucky because I think it's fairly rare for a temp to hire position to really become a permanent position, I don't know if that's because most temp to hire employees are bottom of the barrel or if businesses generally just use temps to fill temp positions, prob a mix of both).

If all else fails, volunteering somewhere can be good, especially if you can't get the temp EAD, I don't think there is a legal issue with having a volunteer who isn't legal to work, so if a temp EAD fails, and AOS takes too long leaving your fiance(e) bored with nothing to do while you are at your day job, volunteering is an option, allows them to meet a few people, get some work experience in the US, I don't really know how important this is, but I am going to say I think most employers don't know what to do with a number that reads like +63 02 399 48382 (other than the +63 the rest is pretty much random), and even if they do, they probably don't have an international phone service so wouldn't want to call that number anyway, but they would call the local soup kitchen, 1/2 of 1/2 store, salvation army, or whatever local place you volunteered at, down side is no money, but the up side is after a month of re-polishing the sink faucets, organizing the cluttered computer desk, re-arranging the furniture, or turning into a zombie in front of the TV, even a non-paying job will seem like heaven I think, at least for people who are used to working, on the other hand, I can't knock anyone for wanting a few month long vacation haha.
