I plan on working ASAP lol, Chris and I want to buy a house next year so every penny will count towards that, as well as our wedding and a car for me.

We don't really plan to have kids for another 4-6 years, in saying that, I want to be able to give up work and be a house mom when we do so working ASAP is more important than it seems lol. I really respect a family that will makes sacrifices to support their family and children's growth :D

Welcome back HD, we missed you over the weekend :)

Chris called USCIS today as our NOA1 is still missing :(. They once again said they had sent the second one through to his work but it never showed. He asked them for our case number and got the "We can't give you anything unless you can prove who you are, you can't do that on the phone" ARGGGGH!!!! So he and I are obviously frustrated, But Chris has an action plan. They have an affliate office in DC, he will be marching down there with his SSN, Birth certificate, Drivers licence and anything else that proves who is to shove across their counter, apprently they can then print and pass him a copy of the NOA1 on the spot.

Oh please don't let this be a sign of the rest of our Visa Journey....

aww.... Mara, I missed you too! So everyone's going to work? I am going to be the only housewife-to-be here? hmmmm... it's ok guys. I can go ahead and make myself available to all of you and maybe I could do the research for your other concerns namely: recipes, embroidery, flowers, hairstyles, makeup and lots of other things. LOL

I will have a lot on my plate I wouldn't know what to do with myself.

I'm going to be a housewife for a while while I learn how to drive/cook/adjust-in-general.. we've said that when we both feel comfortable with it, I'll start working. We'd be a lot better off if we both worked, as we also want to get a house and whatnot.

When we get pregnant though (he wants to wait a couple of years but I don't mind when it happens), I want to stop working and be a full-time mummy.

That sucks about your NOA1, Mara... fingers crossed when he goes to the DC office! Seeing as Chris lives there, he might as well try if it's not too far. Then you can finally track your case online and become obsessed with the status, like everyone else! :)

Hello everyone,

I have finally found the “August” family. I have been reading most of your posts for past couple of days and I have decided to introduce myself now.

I am planning on posting pictures soon, just so you know what I look like. (I have been lazy).

I was reading an early post, which said that their have been some NOA2’s received from Vermont already. Is that true? I would love to hear more about them. I would love to see their timeline.

I am planning on visiting my fiancée in November. I really hope that I receive mine before that too. :innocent: Which sounds very far fetched?

Any how; I should be a regular on this site from now on. Looking forward to spending the rest of my journey with you guys.

I believe there was 4 people at VSC who received a NOA2 really fast, two of them were september filers and at least one of them was an october filer, I don't think there has been any more since. One of the threads for september filers has some of the details around page 3, I'm kind of curious how those people's cases are moving along now too, they'll likely have visa's before we have NOA2's. A november NOA2 is not likely... but not impossible either, especially since you are at VSC.

Thank you guys for the warm welcome! I really hope our journey is fast and smooth.

I will try to find the NOA2’s receivers at page 3 and see how their journey is coming along.

I don't know where the others were discussed, seems like one was only 4 days to NOA2 or something just crazy short.

Thank you for those time lines. I couldn’t find them on my own. However; I think the reason their NOA2’s came so quickly was because their consulates is Canada. I have heard that Canada and U.K. usually get preferences over everyone else. They usually are the fastest cases solved. I am not surprised to see them move so fast.
