October is almost over? It's not even half over yet even if you use the timezone from the philippines! Pretty close to half though. Slowly progressing forward.

Going up and down on igor's happens... I saw a big jump in the approval stats for the week with no movement on the list.

Talking to my fiancee about lolcats and I look at my favorite lolcat site... and it says somthing about valentines day and I think OH NOES! but it's not until feb 14... and I realized ooooh, there is a VERY high chance I'll be with her on valentines day, but will it be in the US or the philippines... and that's kind of nice to think about... depending on when we get noa2's and interview dates, a lot of us august filers should be together close to valentines (hopefully before it of course).

LOL Colinjess, the UK is very small :P England is about the same size as Victoria in Aus. In fact I think from memory you can fit the entire landmass of the UK into Queensland (my home state) 3 or 4 times.... and we only have a 3rd of your popluation LOL.

It's ok Maliciant, 13th is considerably closer to the end of the month then the 1st was, can't blame people for trying to make it look like the end is closer :P.

But I really hope your right, having valentines day at home in the US would be fairly awesome, then i can preasure chris into taking me to one of the resturants i have grown to love dearly lol.

But I reacon, December/start of Jan is our month for NOA2s. Medicals and interviews will be Jan/Feb so hopefully we will all be able to look forward to Feb/Mar/Apr plane trips :)

preasure = pleasure? or pressure? I like the first option...

meant to be pressure, though your first option may just work better!

Ok quick think i found for anyone else in August who uses skype and wants to use the calls as part of their proof of relationship for our interviews.

http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic...mp;#entry400968

On that forum there is a nifty little link to a program that will export your call history from the last 12 months to an excel document (or straight to print) very very cool and useful!

Just thought I would share :)

Gemmie just say visiting boyfriend and family for Christmas i always took my ring off, most important is itinery with return flight

Wow you've visited 14 times, you are very lucky to have used the VWP often. I know you're having problems with your ex-husband and it must be hard, it's a lot more difficult when children are involved.

I'm considering saying boyfriend, it's just that I've used fiance for the past year. Plus they'll ask if we're getting married and won't they think it's a bit strange if I say yes? I just don't want it to look like "yes we're engaged and LOOK AT ALL MY EVIDENCE HAHAHA!" and pull out piles of documents. That WILL look suspicious.

Colin, the UK is extremely small to Americans because you can pretty much fit most of it inside of Florida! And FL isn't a big state in relation to the others.

I do think it's funny that everyone assumes you must be from London though. I went to the doctor's when I was last in the US and he asked where I'm from. I said England, and he said which part? I told him "South West" because I know that it's very rare that they know Swindon or Bath. He says "South West London?"

Maliciant, I won't be in the US for Valentines but I'm not really bothered about that... it's way too commercialised for me. I would rather do something special because I felt like doing something special, not because everyone is doing it on the one day. The downside is all the loved up couples though (again Mara! grrrr).

Mara, thanks for the link. We speak on the phone everyday so don't use Skype anymore but I know it's very useful to have, especially for those that don't get to speak with their loved ones that often or use the phone.

Isn't that all that there really is in the UK though? The Queen and London? I'm sure thats how it works....

Grr on days for lovely dovey couples! I tend to agree with you though, Valentines day is just another hallmark holiday, however if its going to get me taken out to dinner I'm not going to kick up too much of a fuss..... lol

Personally, I think everyday with your true love is special, and Chris makes everyday i'm with him a happy one so I can't complain :)

Skype (if you hadn't guessed) is my favourite program in the whole universe, infact I will tell anyone who will listen just how great it is lol.

Tell you what, looking at my last couple of posts, it must have been a really long monday, my spelling has gone to ####### LOL.

Personally I think if you throw the evidence at them and run they may just be too confused and scared to chase you down at homeland security Gemmie! In fact if you have a nice shiny engagement ring use that to blind them first!

Ah i have this beni hill music playing in my head now with the Customs officers chasing you around the airport baggage claim, lol. Yes I am bored, and slightly deprived of Chris at the moment, Fred I dunno how you have been doing this "we only talk on weekends thing" for so long :( I feel for you now as i have to join you in your pain!

How's everybody been? Oh well, the wonderful August 2008 group are gossipy as usual. I feel lucky to be part of this group.

Just an Idea: We should have an exclusive t-shirt with a print that says - I'm an August 08 Filer!

Peace out!

Pigging out? I'm jealous... I'm on a fairly strict diet myself... I've got about 20 lbs I'd like to get rid of personally, one of my many personal goals while waiting for the NOA2... the other goals of course include being able to understand enough tagalog not to be totally lost during conversations in the philippines, and the third big goal... knock a chunk out of my debt, I seriously picked the worst time financially to meet and fall in love with someone on the other side of the world, international flights and visa processing fees go a long ways towards keeping me feeling much poorer than I am... and as much as I look forward to the NOA2... it's going to do ouchies to my bank account (mostly the airfare part but the AOS stuff isn't cheap either).

Oops, just realized you are pigging out on forum popcorn... heck, that's not restricted by my diet at all... I kinda went on a rant there for nothing... but I could still go for a delicious big plate of (just about anything!) right now.

Me i have to gain weight coz I can't! hahahahaha! I can eat and eat and eat without gaining weight! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

My tagalog is still good and so is my Chavacano (Spanish Dialect in Mindanao, Zamboanga City)......

Happy - I wanna join you in pigging out! Let's GO! What are we eating????
