Nice fred, good to see the interview was no problem.

Are you sure about the AOS though... I kind of thought only children over a certain age had to adjust... and for the rest their mothers status was automatically their status... maybe that only applies ot citizenship though. All I can say is ow, I thought I was shellin out some money...

OH OH OH! heres what's pissin me off.....

As soon as the SO gets back to te hotel and gives me the good news, she gets a call from the Embassy, and they said the VISA's can't be sent yet coz there are similar names to hers that has pending crimes! #######!!!!!! OH MAN!

Our case along with the kiddos are on AP!

SHOOT! this sucks!

Word from the Embassy: You do not have to retrieve a new NBI certificate, we will contact the NBI office in your city and contact you.

Things are never easy!

And we thought we were on the clear! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

I informed my lawyer already and he will follow up in the embassy!

What's funny is this, how can my SO have a current NBI certificate if she has crimes? AND OH! OH OH! Their finger printing machine is broken! so they con't do an on the spot check! HAHAHAHAHA! how awesome!

Oh wellz, the waiting continues............

PM me for any AP or AR relating to the NBI

That sucks fred, I hope it's a short AP, most things in the phils can be done quickly when you are allowed to do the foot work... but when it's in the hands of government agencies... it might take a long time :(

I know the forms for NBI or the police cert ask for aliases too, so I'm going to guess the name that came up is a potential alias of your fiancee (Dan instead of Daniel for example...). Be pissed... but well, not much that you can do about it, I hope you didn't book plane tickets yet (wait for the visa!...).

Yeah they found 3 other names similar to hers with crimes.

The embassy just needs a fax back from the NBI office in my city then we're golden. Air21 forms have been filled out already.

Because she has an NBI cert already, if you have records or crimes you cannot get one, so ish all god, waiting game from here. This is exactly why I hired an attorney!

Oh wellz wait wait wait...

Oh no I did not byu plane tickets, not doing anything till VISA's are on hand.

It so just happens that the fingerprinting machine was broken when they were running her prints! HOW ANNOYING!

But atleast it wasnt a denial, it's an approval with a SNAG!

Exactly...its still an approval, and I am sure she will be out of AP very soon, like you mention she got her security clearances just fine, so there should not be an issue. Just regular old bureaucratic nonsense is all it is :)

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

Got more update

The USEM in Manila wants my SO's NBI Clearance to say "NO DEROGATORY RECORD". My SO's clearance says No Criminal Record, it's supposed to be good right? NO, the USEM thinks it's a fraudulent document! So they will request a new NBI clearance themselves to eliminate the chances or bribes to NBI personel in the NBI office. AWESOME HUH! hahaahahahaha!

Process, USEM sends SO letter to be taken to NBI office

SO takes letter to NBI office

NBI office writes letter and CONFIRMS "NO DEROGATORY RECORD"

USEM receives NBI confirmation

USEM prints VISA

USEM sends visa

air21(courrier) delivers VISA, if delivery fee has been paied they will deliver, if not they will deliver but will demand COD.

There's the process. This can go on for 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 2 months or worst 6 months to a year.

Oh Freddy, first of all, congratulations on the visa approval!! We knew it would be okay..

Secondly, I'm sure everything will be fine. It's annoying as hell having to be dumped in something like that right now, but at least you know your visa is all approved and you're waiting on them to confirm a few annoying things!

Your wifey and children will soon be flying home to you forever. Keep us updated please.
