Really guys? I didnt realize this was such a closed club. I know there is a lot of stress here, especially for those without NOA2, and even for some with NOA2. but really . . . when did this group stop being open to others or even somewhat tolerant?

Like your relationships, there is no substitute for face to face communication. It is easy to misunderstand a comment or take something someone wrote in the wrong way when you are not there to see their body language. Was responding "that doesnt really answer my questions" so offensive - -really?

I find this group to be extremely tolerant!

Again, sorry for stirring things up. That wasn't my intention. I think we all just wanted him to get the best possible answers to his questions, and since most of us aren't using Canadian embassies, his question would be better directed elsewhere.

Gemmie: So glad to hear that Bill is trying to fly out. As I mentioned previously, me and Sebastian were having a really tough time of it until I flew out in January and it really, really helped. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you two can work something out! European flights aren't toooo expensive right now (compared to previously, anyhow) and kayak.com is great for searching through multiple airlines.

My Valentine's Day consisted of eating pizza, watching chick flicks, and popping antibiotics while my roommates went on dates, got dozens of roses, etc.. I, too, think Valentine's Day is overrated and commercial, but spending it alone was extra hard this year. I was able to talk to Sebastian (through text at least) online and he was very sweet. Sent me a few e-drawings and lots of kissy faces, which really brightened my day. With any luck, August filers, this will have been our last Valentine's Day apart from our future spouses! I hope we can all at least find some consolation in that.

Anyhow, I hope you are all in good spirits today. The new work week is about to begin, so hopefully things get rolling!

I also find this group to be extremely tolerant also, that is why I was so supprised by the responses. I understood what you said, I think you found his comment "Snarky", but then apolagized for offending him. That's enough I think. I was just supprised to see the additional comments of 'go somewhere else' and 'no apology needed'. Frankly, Soinlove16 is trying to be helpful and encouraging to everyone I believe, so I was even more supprised by those comments. Maybe having a bad day.

Honestly, I dont think any of us are experts here, just opinions based on what we read or our own experiences. but it is nice to have a good group of people to discuss, vent, or just share the pain with.

My VDay story (or VD story as my crusty friends around here call it) is that I got a lovely card the night before Valentine's Day and we spent the morning talking on the phone and then I went with two other friends who are single (VD also = SAD ((Singles Awareness Day)) shopping, having late lunch and frozen yogurt. Us gals had a lovely "date" day together. :luv:

We still have some small trinkets and cards somewhere in the mail. As for Valentine's, we didn't really do much of anything. The cutest part was talking on the phone while also on Skype. For no good reason at all, other than shi*ts and giggles. In all honesty, I don't care about Valentine's at all. Don't need anyone to make me think I need to do something special, on some February whateverday, just because people are selling overpriced hearts wherever you look.

As for other news, my fiance is coming to Croatia on April 2nd, to be here for the interview and, of course, to spend some time together. Then we'll see what happens. I still have those exams to take care of...

I will always stick my neck out for all you depressed souls out there, remember guys and gals we're all in this together, we started this journey together. We been through this from the beginning and I will still be here until you all will be helping others with their K1 questions in the future. I know I am not supposed to be stressing about anything since I am getting there but I am still anxious because there are no guarantees in this process, you never know, ughhhh, being strong is getting harder and there are always those unexpected obstacles especially when you are very close to the end.

But hey guys and gals I am still here and I wont leave all you, I will continue to give you strength and hope when you need it. Im sorry I don't update about my progrss, the reason for that is because I am a very superstitious person and I always keep my expectations low when it comes to immigration.

Take care everyone, I promise I will update everyone and all is said and done.

For those going through the Embassy in Manila Embassy, St. Lukes Medical in the Philippines, with K2 derivatives, feel free to ask me questions about your cases.

GODSPEED everyone.

I agree with you. Seems like things move fast after NOA2, but it is still painfully slow. And there are a ton more obsticles.

After jumping through hoops to get her daughter a visa to visit Japan, we were unable to get an interview apparently anytime in the near future. So they are both now back in the philippines and I have to get another visa for Japan for her to go to the interview (if and when that ever happens). and then there is more problems and paperwork there too.

I hope things are going better for you and soon you can be with your family.

Anybody hear from Maliciant? Hopefully he has some good news by now.

I had an OK VD except my gifts backfired completely...really badly! I posted on Thaivisa but apparently you're barred from criticizing anyone, even scamsters if they advertise on the website..giving them an endless supply of victims while being assured the moderators will delete and warn any posts even if it's a blatant scam. I'm very disappointed in thaivisa.

FOREVER FLORIST BANGKOK, THAILAND

1. I ordered a flower vase and a fruit basket

2. Confirmation showed 2 identical flower orders

3. I contacted Nittaya by phone...phone went dead

4. Immediately emailed saying "answer your phone please there's been a mistake," etc

5. Called back and left a phone message and immediately got an email response (funny how that works) claiming their "call center is closed" little shop it is, what "call center"? Her email maintained I ordered 2 identical flowers so I copied my pay pal receipt proving I ordered 1 fruit 1 flower

6. I email again, she emails back maintaining I ordered 2 identical flowers. I demand to speak to her

7. email "sorry but your order has gone out" so I ordered another fruit basket asking her to combine flowers to one so it wouldn't look stupid realizing she's going to do what she wants anyway

8. duplicate orders of DEAD...BONE DEAD FLOWERS ARRIVED (I have photos) with degrading message (no kidding), incorrect spelling of recipient's name and message was written "down" to the recipient, if you know what I mean (nothing like I ordered)

9. Receive email saying fruit cannot be delivered until the 16th (this was Valentines day, the 14th) giving me only 1 hour to cancel order. I was 7 minutes late to my computer (mind you, calling and leaving many messages since I knew she could hear them)

10. I send email, call telling of the dead flowers (which was completely ignored despite their "24 hour service"...scammed again, I think)

11. Took pictures of dead flowers and since I'm not in Thailand (and I don't tolerate this BS) and since neither PayPal or Visa tolerates this BS/childish games, either I filed a dispute (which means pay pal yanks the money back and waits for proof). yes, I've got 2 dozen certifiably DEAD flowers and a degrading message for proof (OK, to be honest, 3 out of 48 flowers were OK).

12. Once the money was pulled back pending review, Nittaya calls me a fraudster still refusing to look at the pay pal receipt showing my original order (1 flower 1 fruit). Suddenly her "call center" is opened and calls my fiancee (Valentines/Birthday party going on...all are shocked at the dead flowers, vindictive message) and she wants to take them back, rushes a driver over (I told her we were taking pics of her dead flowers and posting on the internet) the driver is also shocked...they're really dead flowers, he said! "No wonder you're not happy" got a good laugh for the other 7 people there.

I post this on thaivisa where I found these clowns, post is deleted no one tells me why so I post again and get a message telling me to contact the company if I have any problems (read 1-12 above...that's what I was doing all night for 8 hours! contacting these fools)...anyway, I'm shocked at thaivisa, pissed off at forever florist but in the end, we got to communicate better than we had and I learned sooo much had been misunderstood neither of us had a clue and ironed out major problems which turned out to be nonexistent only due to misunderstandings.

That was my Vday!

7/21/08 I 129f K-1 app given to Siam Legal Lawyers office

Oh my HYENA, that is AWFUL!!! It would have killed me having to have to go through all that considering what you and your fiancee are going through right now. Dang that online flower service!!! Boycott them!

I got 2 dozens of red roses at work last friday from dear fiance. Loved it!

That's intense

I thought of all times, I really needed these flowers to come through. I learned so much..she was saying some horrible things BUT she didn't understand the meaning of the words! It didn't dawn on me! That's been the cause of most of our problems...9 months later, I'm realizing she had no clue what the REAL word for Romantic was (one of many examples) telling me Romantic is BS and she hates it and on and on...separation is difficult because in person it would be obvious what we both like regardless of words...distance makes the heart grow fond but too much time and the heart needs some recharging!

Yes, I really needed this to come through. My first time I sent them, no probs (Christmas)..she cried since no one has ever done that to her before...no one has sent anything.

Instead, Nittaya got me back with her revenge; my fiancee got a headache and her double special day was met with dead flowers.

I'm grateful pay pal was there or I'd have been out the money and scammed again.

I just got off the phone with her...she's a gem. I have to see her soon or I'll die! Thinking if I can go out, come back then go out to get her when it's time since this visa seems like it's going to take 5 more months at this rate.

6 months, no NOA2...nothing. The bad part is it only takes 15 minutes to complete a file.
