I am so confused since I didn't receive a package but just the links for the applications and the link for the biometrics. The application says to send the necessary things attached with the application DS156. He has to fill out IV 15 and DS 156 K also???? I dont have my police certificate yet so how am I supposed to send the DS156. i think my police report will take a month!!! so am i supposed to wait to get all that first and then set up his biometrics?? HOw come everyones got their package and we got a lousyyyyyyyyy letter!!!!!! PLEASE help someone...

People who are going through London are getting just a letter, the letter has all the instructions on where to download the forms, they are available on the embassy's website. What do you mean "set up his biometrics"? If he is the one that is applying for his K-1 at the embassy in London, he is the one that needs to apply for his police certificates, not you. And UK police certificates take about 2 weeks to acquire, it is no big deal. But he also needs police certificates since age 16 onwards so make sure he has that covered. He can fill out all his forms including the DS156 and DS156K but he cannot send in his IV-15 checklist until he has his police certificates in hand. So I suggest he applies for his police certificates ASAP and meanwhile prepare all the rest of the forms and documents on IV-15 checklist, and then as soon as he gets his police certificates in hand, mail back the response to packet 3 to the embassy in London. Checkout the threads in the United Kingdom regional thread for a lot of helpful information.

Joke of the day:

These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now Published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place.

ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said to you that morning?

WITNESS: He said, 'Where am I, Cathy?'

ATTORNEY: And why did that upset you?

WITNESS: My name is Susan!

____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: What gear were you in at the moment of the impact?

WITNESS: Gucci sweats and Reeboks.

____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Are you sexually active?

WITNESS: No, I just lie there.

____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: This myasthenia gravis, does it affect your memory at all?

WITNESS: Yes.

ATTORNEY: And in what ways does it affect your memory?

WITNESS: I forget.

ATTORNEY: You forget? Can you give us an example of something you forgot?

___________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Do you know if your daughter has ever been involved in voodoo?

WITNESS: We both do.

ATTORNEY: Voodoo?

WITNESS: We do.

ATTORNEY: You do?

WITNESS: Yes, voodoo.

____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning?

WITNESS: Did you actually pass the bar exam?

____________________________________

ATTORNEY: The youngest son, the twenty-year-old, how old is he?

WITNESS: He's twenty, much like your IQ.

___________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Were you present when your picture was taken?

WITNESS: Are you shitting me?

_________________________________________

ATTORNEY: So the date of conception (of the baby) was August 8th?

WITNESS: Yes.

ATTORNEY: And what were you doing at that time?

WITNESS: getting laid

____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: She had three children, right?

WITNESS: Yes.

ATTORNEY: How many were boys?

WITNESS: None.

ATTORNEY: Were there any girls?

WITNESS: Your Honor, I think I need a different attorney. Can I get a new attorney?

____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: How was your first marriage terminated?

WITNESS: By death.

ATTORNEY: And by whose death was it terminated?< /div>

WITNESS: Take a guess.

____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Can you describe the individual?

WITNESS: He was about medium height and had a beard.

ATTORNEY: Was this a male or a female?

WITNESS: Unless the Circus was in town I'm going with male.

_____________________________________

ATTORNEY: Is your appearance here this morning pursuant to a deposition notice which I sent to your attorney?

WITNESS: No, this is how I dress when I go to work.

______________________________________

ATTORNEY: Doctor, how many of your autopsies have you performed on dead people?

WITNESS: All of them. The live ones put up too much of a fight.

_________________________________________

ATTORNEY: ALL your responses MUST be oral, OK?What school did you go to?

WITNESS: Oral.

_________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Do you recall the time that you examined the body?

WITNESS: The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m.

ATTORNEY: And Mr. Denton was dead at the time?

WITNESS: If not, he was by the time I finished.

____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Are you qualified to give a urine sample?

WITNESS: Are you qualified to ask that question?

______________________________________

And the best for last:

ATTORNEY: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?

WITNESS: No.

ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood pressure?

WITNESS: No.

ATTORNEY: Did you check for breathing?

WITNESS: No.

ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?

WITNESS: No.

ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor?

WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.

ATTORNEY: I see, but could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?

WITNESS: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law.

Hello everyone,

First let me say I am glad to see all the approvals and positive progress on all the cases this week and lets hope for more. Nic has his medical tommorrow in London which we are excited to get that out of the way. He ordered his police certificate almost 3 weeks ago and has not got it yet. 2 weeks ago he ordered a long version of his birth certificate and still has not got that yet either. We think the snow days slowed this down some. Just to give people an idea of how soon to order those documents. To those going through the London embassy do not freak out of the weird letter package 3, we did. Calm down and just go through it one thing at a time. :star:

Just wanted to warn you that you may want to change your signature! It currently says your medical was on JANUARY 13th rather than February. Best of luck! Watch out for the Irish doctor drawing blood, he's bruised many a fellow VJer haha.

Hahaha, thanks I would of never noticed I am far too preoccupied with all the final details with the entire process. I can’t imagine it is going to get any less stressful finishing up things before that final approval from the interview.

It's happy dance time! Good thing I'm the only one here so I can do my Fred Astair routine between the equipment racks. The e-mail came in from CRIS at 1101Z that our petition was approved and the NOA2 mailed yesterday. Not a single touch since NOA1 for 175 days then poof, here you go.

I haven't told her yet. I'm going to try and keep it a secret until tomorrow. I have to get up and go to work early so I want to just leave the printout in her early wakeup Valentine's Day card. (The mushy card, chocolates, photobook of the last year and such come right before we go to dinner at the Top of the World Club. It takes months of planning to make V-day work up here.) Then the office phone will ring a few hours later and I'll try to act casual.
