I swear if you call USCIS they are the worthless people living in this planet. You ask to speak to a supervisor and they say they are busy. They can ready you they same B* that you can see only. I don't have any more patients to deal with them. When i go online to check the statues of the application the last two days the date has change. I don't know exactly what it means. I would appreciate any info.

That simply means your file has been touched, worked on or is being processed. Date modified will be changing everytime someone grabs your file. And yes this could be a sign of an approval. Keep your fingers crossed.

Godspeed

So if I call NVC this weekend, would my file be available in their automated record message system? (I know they are not open on the weekend, but would my file be at NVC this weekend?) I got approved Thursday, so I was just wondering...

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

NO, a little too early there, you have to give it a week or so.

Per the flowchart on the link below, you are on step 5

Oh my... :( what are your options?

I'm also an August 2008 filer. :)

Everything was going okay. USCIS approved it on time. But when it got to the US Consulate in New Delhi, it took awhile to get the interview. Then we got 221g status. Then we gave more documents and evidence, and waited. And waited. They then let it expire and sent it back to the USCIS. So that is where I'm at now. :(

NVC is closed on the weekends and K-1 are not in the automated system, you have to speak to a live person to check the status. But because you were just apporved i doubt that your petition will be there so soon. Call the NVC in about 1 week. They should have it by then.

Call 603 334-0700 then in the options, Choose 1 and then 5 to speak to a live person. if you call very early in the morning you should be able to speak to someone right away. The afternoon is always busy, so I would try to avoid that. and the night is a good time to call also. they close at 12am Eastern Standard Time.

Good Luck!

I just want to thank you all for the help and support. For the people that haven't got approved yet hopefully it will be soon. I have one thing to say don't even bother callin the Service Center because they are not helpful at all. They will even get you more depressed.
